Brushed-finish Fender Schaller Locking Tuners provide solid tuning stability by clamping the cut end of the string with a hand-tightened lock screw. There's no play in the string and you tune normally. A great way around locking nut systems that don't allow tuning on the fly. Highest quality manufacture, Schaller Locking Tuners are the same tuners used on Fender American Deluxe Series guitars.

I love my whammy bars! I hate having them flat on my strat because when you let go and it comes back your pups will record the slap of the bridge hitting the body. Therefore I have to float my whammy bars. I tried everything to keep my strat in tune. I bought the Super Vee Mag-Lok, (don't waste your money folks). I put on a tusq nut and roller string trees. No go. Finally I put these tuners on and viola! All better now! If you want to kiss your tuning problems good bye, these tuners will definitely do the job. They're well worth the price. I had to have mine put on since it required drilling new holes, but it was money well spent. Now I can whammy to my heart's content and stay in tune!
A few months ago I bought these tuners for my Fender Stratocaster and now with these tuners I almost always stay in tune. Where ever I go, my Strat rarely falls out of tune anymore. These tuners only cost me about $70.00 after tax and they're fairly easy to install yourself. Also changing is fairly easy too. And as far as I know you can have them installed on almost any Fender or Squier electric guitar.
I installed these on my stratocaster, they look great. but the best thing about them is they hold your guitar in tune rock solid.
Just bought them after a major overhaul of my 12-year old strat. They are very easy to install and use. They do exactly what they're supposed to do. No complaints there. I just wish they came in the chrome finish b/c they dont match any of the rest of the hardware on the guitar. Its not like i can buy a brushed finish cable jack.
Simply put, these tuners were a significant upgrade to the preexisting stocks. I have a Squier Telecaster that I love everything about. the only thing it needed was an upgrade on the tuners. I checked in to a handful of other tuners only to find that the schallers were far superior to all others I tried. I actually played an american made fender that features the tuners as stock. the only issue with them I had was in the installation. I had to drill some new placement pilot holes in the back of the headstock as the old tuners were slightly different. Not hard. took 5 min. since they have been on, I have been pleased. I would have to say the nicest feature is the ease of use of the locking. I hear there are a few ways to actually use the locking feature. Ive found the easiest way is to get your string a few cents below pitch and use the lockers to bring it up to desired pitch. well worth the pricetag if your a weekend warrior tavern giger playing every weekend
I have had several guitars over the years and I have never had locking tuner...what a mistake! I traded a few guitars for a new Fender VG Strat which is basically an American Standard Strat with the Roland modeling system built in. I absolutely love the guitar but this is the first strat that I have had in a while that I am letting the bridge float on. I really wanted to try a set of these to see if it helped with tuning. Man does it ever! The guitar actually sounds better as well, probably because they are a little heavier than the originals. They dropped right in with absolutely no problem. The easiest upgrade ever.
These are awesome heads not only have I not had any tuning problems since I got them and put them on but changing strings is so quick now. I would probably recommend these to anyone. they cost more compared to regular tuners but its well worth it.
Now I love my Mexican strat. If your Mexican strat dosent stay in tune , buy a set of these.
these tuners where easy to install and make changing strings a breeze i really did not have any problems with my old tuners going out of tune but dont regret replacing them except I wish the would sell more brushed parts like bridges ect they look nice and stay nice...
These tuners are a must. I was having problems with a newer Mexican Strat staying in tune. They install very easily, into the existing holes in the head stock. While they may seem a little pricey, I will put them in every guitar I have. Not only did it fix the Strat's tuning issue, but like a previous reviewer mentioned, changing strings is so easy I feel guilty! It seems like it has increased the sustain as well. Very highly recommended! Note that the deluxe models are chrome whereas these are a nickel/brushed finish.
