Fender Limited Edition Mustang Electric Guitar with Pau Ferro Fingerboard Shell Pink
Description
Tonally flexible, the pair of angled single-coil pickups make every note and chord pop with authentic Fender tone. These low-output pickups have a balanced voice with bell-like upper harmonics, punchy mids and thick lows for a sound that easily cuts through a mix. Master volume and tone controls, along with a three-way pickup switch craft your sound.
Topped by a 9.5 in.-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, the C-shaped maple neck is comfortable for all playing styles and ideal for players with smaller hands, or those who use extended chord forms. The six-saddle string-through-body hardtail Strat bridge increases sustain while the bent steel saddles add a touch of “cut” to your tone, and are adjustable for spot-on intonation. The 24 in. scale adds a bit of warmth and thickness to the guitar’s inherent tone, while granting a slinkier playing feel, making it easier to perform multi-step bends.
The guitar’s smaller body is perfect for energetic stage performances and ideal for those with smaller frames while retaining Fender’s famous ergonomic design aesthetic. A gloss polyester finish protects the body while the neck bears a satin polyurethane finish for fast, easy playability. The aesthetic appointments add a touch of classic Fender style to this modernized design for dazzling style under the spotlights. A cult favorite, the Mustang has evolved from a student-oriented model to the underground champion that laid the foundation for grunge and modern alternative rock. Case sold separately.

I picked this guitar up at my local Guitar Center last weekend, and I've hardly been able to put it down. I've always been a Strat guy, and I first tried this one out purely out of curiosity (the offset shape, the unique color), but I can certainly say that this is one of the best feeling guitars I've ever played. Despite the lack of tummy and forearm cuts, the body is very comfortable. The neck is unreal! The shape fits my (relatively average sized) hand perfectly, and the fretwork is very clean, making for a smooth and silky playing experience all around. The pickups sound fantastic on my Vox AC10 combo with the gain and EQ maxed out. I am planning on putting a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge position and adding a push/pull tone pot for more tonal diversity, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with these pickups or pots as they are. Overall, I was wholly impressed by this guitar, and the relatively inexpensive price point. This is definitely a wonderful and unique addition to any guitar collection.

I don't usually buy fender guitars, but I loved this one. I use this guitar for recording, gigs, school, everything! The pink finish is awesome and the neck feels awesome! I would totally recommend this guitar.
