At first glance it had to be mine !
I went to guitar center wanting to buy a guitar for my son. I did end up purchasing a guitar for him, but as i walked the store i went into the guitar room. I knew the really nice stuff was in there so i went to browse. I scanned then it caught me like a beautiful girl from across the room staring at you. I had found the guitar i had been looking for. I went up and purchased this guitar, I have been meaning to buy a professional fender stratocaster, and i had found the one i wanted. I walked up to the checkout and told them what i wanted. They told me they had just broke this guitar out of the box and it had only been on the floor for about 3 hrs, it was just fate that brought me to the store that day. I think this guitar is amazing.

Switch was defective
First of all this is a beautiful guitar and I wanted to love it. Lost a little confidence when the neck position was intermittent and staticky on the 5-way switch prompting me to return it. But listening at the other positions, I found the bridge pickup to have much more treble than on my two other Strats, and that position is not affected by either of the tone controls. A YouTube video suggested that it might take substitution of humbuckers to tame the treble. Prospective purchasers should listen to this guitar in the store as the sound may be to your liking. I just thought the Strat is trebly enough and the rosewood neck makes it too much. I know rosewood is supposed to sound mellower than maple but this is what I experienced. I wound up buying the rosewood neck Pro Telecaster in its place but haven't checked it out yet.

Amazing Tone - Fun to Play

I bought this guitar earlier this year. Amazing. For a mass-produced instrument, it seems to possess a true Fender soul. I have a PRS S-2 and a 20th anniversary edition Gibson Les Paul. No greater joy than sitting down to a backing track and jamming along with this Strat. I live in a very low humidity climate and the guitar hangs on a wall, not in a case. Stays in tune for days and days! No issues with the neck, frets or switch as some others have unfortunately experienced. Love it. I play through a Boss Katana Artist amp.
I would not buy this product

When I saw this Strat hanging on the wall at GC, it was love at first sight. The guitar is absolutely beautiful. The all rosewood neck is gorgeous and the Daphne blue color is perfect. The guitar feels incredibly comfortable to play and produces a fantastic range of tone. I'm using a Fender Blues Junior and a Marshall Origin 20 - together with this Strat, I cannot put the guitar down. Also, guitar will most likely only appreciate in value!
A beautiful guitar for all seasons.

I've wanted one of these for years since they first came out. I noticed neck pocket issues when they first hit the scene. Well GC had another sale and I couldn't say no to their unadvertised price at the store that was way lower than their listed price. This one had just come out of the box. I checked the neck pocket and it is nice and tight. It has a beautifully shaped neck that fills my hand just right. The color is outstanding. I will say that the Tim Shaw pickups didn't do much for me. They are glassy and bright, I had to turn the tone almost off to get close to what I was looking for. I'll play it through a couple more gig worthy amps before I go reaching for another pickup set. The tall narrow frets are easier to play with the rosewood neck. All things aside this is a great guitar.

First off, I am a Fender man, always have been, always thought I would be, but this guitar was SUCH a disappointment. I have the sea foam green Tele version of the rosewood neck limited edition and it is perfection personified—this Strat is hot garbage and Fender should be ashamed of themselves for letting this through QC. The frets stock out so far along the side of the neck, both top and bottom, that the guitar is absolutely unplayable. I have Mexi-strats, American standards, and a ton of vintage strats—this is by far the worst Fender I ever purchased. I had seen this complaint in the comments, but since we were on quarantine, I figured, what are the chances I'd get one of the few that people complained about—well, I did. And then when I went to the store to exchange it for the one they had in the showroom it was the exact same. Soooo disappointed in Fender for this.

I sent this back almost a month ago due to the fret burst, frets sticking out the sides. This is very noticeable and would need to be addressed. On a brand new guitar I am not willing to do that out of my pocket. MF paid for the shipping back.

Do these guitars come set up or is that an extra step I have to take.

How Many of these are being made?
Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing how many of these are being made. According to Fender, it is i limited to the number they are able to produce.
