Fender Duff McKagan Signature Bass (515814)
Availability:

Signature looks, feel, and sound.

Designed for the man who has earned his place in rock history by holding down the low end for bands such as Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, Fender's Duff McKagan Signature Bass Guitar is rock and roll all the way.

Based on the instrument he has used ever since the first GNR album, the Duff McKagan Signature bass is a distinctive, sleek, and full-sounding reissue of the '80s-era Jazz Bass Special, which combined a Precision Bass body with a Jazz Bass neck and a set of Precision and Jazz Bass pickups. That's all here, with a Pearl White finish, gloss-black neck and headstock, TBX circuit (treble/bass cut), black hardware, and custom skull-engraved neck plate.

Includes a gig bag.

  • Duff McKagan Special

As reviewed by Kurt - aka TANK on 6/23/2010

When I purchased this baby I had not held it in my hands and when she arrived I was very impressed. The craftsmanship was very good. The feel of the bass was solid. The finish was clear. Then I plugged her in. That was when I was shocked. The sound was very full, rich and clear. By switching between the pickups and the tone controls I made her do endless things from bright slapping to hard rocking 80 sounds. The action was a little high a quick adjustment and I was ready to roll. The first time I used her on stage; this baby got a lot of attention!! If you are looking for a bass that does it all, this is your baby. I would recommend this bass for anyone who is serious about tone and sound!

  • Coolest Bass I've ever played!!!!

As reviewed by Matty Bonez on 5/16/2011

I always wanted the original 80's Jazz Bass Special made in Japan so I was so excited when I saw that Fender came out with this Duff McKagan Signature bass. It looks amazing, it plays amazing, and it sounds amazing. I play in cover band and our set list ranges from Guns n' Roses to Lady Gaga and this bass get's so many different tones out of it that you will find the sound you are looking for. I have gotten nothing but compliments on how amazing this bass sounds and looks. This bass is helping me take take my craft to the next level. Duff Rocks!!!!

  • Extremely disappointed

As reviewed by Joe Scott on 4/9/2014

I was so psyched when I ordered this, couldn't wait to plug it in and get busy with it. Unfortunately when I finally got it, I had a hard time getting the cable in (turns out there was a loose wire impeding the path). When I finally managed to get it in, the sound was poor at best, probably because of the loose wire. The tuners were loose and the bridge seemed flimsy. I replaced the tuners with a set of hip-shot, replaced the pick-ups with Bartolini's and replaced the bridge. It sounds really good now and it stays in tune like a champ, but I shouldn't have had to sink another 600 bucks on it. Where the hell is Fenders quality control? It's the first Fender bass I've bought, I do have a Fender amp that I love, but I will never buy another Fender bass.
