The Fender® custom Shop Yngwie Malmsteen tribute Stratocaster® guitar (a.k.a. the "play loud" guitar) is a meticulous reproduction of Malmsteen's beloved instrument. Produced in limited edition it is authentic in every detail, including the famous "play loud" sticker on the upper horn and, of course, the distinctive scalloped maple fingerboard.
Like the original, it features DiMarzio® HS-3 pickups in the bridge and neck positions and a standard Fender '70s-era middle pickup, with a standard Fender bridge, a large headstock, and a battered Olympic white finish expertly treated to mirror each of the original guitar's many battle scars—the nicks, dings, scratches, burns, and worn finish spots from decades of heavy use and abuse in Malmsteen's masterful hands.
I just wanted to say that all those who say that guitars like this or the EVH Frankenstein or any similar guitars are just for a bunch of money loaded collectors are way over the head wrong...because if they were then they would have made them only by order and this baby was a tribute to a true guitarist who changed a lot in the world of guitar playing...i heard this live and played it and i have been playing since the 70 alli can say that this is a mean lean shreding bluesing rocking... this is not just for shred !!! this is a unique set of craftsmanship that deserves the respect of any guitar player round the world ... if you have the money just go for it ... worth every dollar you give for it
I bought this guitar expecting to get a strat just like the one Yngwie plays, but when I tried to smash it just like he does I learned something amazing! This guitar cannot be destroyed. I've thrown it down the stairs, my wife threw it out my 3rd story window in a heat of rage, and our teenager backed up over it! It didn't even go out of tune! This is a real beauty! If you want an invincible work of art, then this guitar is for you!
