Great guitar, well made, super sound
This guitar is the real deal. Very well made, no flaws at all on the beautiful natural ash finish. It came perfectly set-up right out of the box which shocked me. The sound is the best part, it's more versatile than any single coil tele., yet still gives enough tone for you country players. The neck pickup gives a sweet Les Paul type smooth sound. The maple neck is very easy to play, with great action, and very smooth. If you can't play this guitar, give back the money you spent on lessons. I have a Gibson SG which is my favorite guitar in my collection but this is now 2nd. The sound is much more rounded than a single coil pickup tele, plays any kind of music, and it's a Fender so it should last forever. And the most important thing is the value, for this price you will not find a more versatile guitar as well made, and with such a beautiful appearance. By the way it also records very well. I have a 16-track studio, and this is just as good as my 61 SG. Anyone out there who writes lyrics to rock-pop-blues songs, and would like to write them for my music please contact me at plescejj@ptd.net. thanks

Very poor quality control
The finish is great. However I replaced it at guitar center for manufacturing issues on two separate guitars. The first guitar: the nut was cut too deep and the holes in the body for the strings weren't aligned to the bridge. The second guitar they sent me had a shallow neck pocket and the saddles were raised to their highest level. Couldn't lower the action at all.

This is an excellent guitar. My Mother bought this guitar for me in 1972 and had it until 1987. I took that guitar everywhere including the military. When you polish regularly and play it the fret board seems to age and the sound get warmer and sweeter. The three position selector is so versatile and handy when recording. Purchase one and you will play it for life. Ronestone
