Unleash the fury!

The Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster has been updated to be more like his current number-one Fender! Updates include a White /Black/White pickguard, bullet truss rod nut and machine screw neck mounting! This neck mounting method provides a better connection and overall tone transfer to the guitar body.

Like the original Yngwie Strat, this amazing axe features a solid alder body, modern "C" shape maple neck, and Yngwie's signature scalloped maple fretboard with Dunlop 6000 Super-Jumbo frets for a playing experience as fast as you are!

The pickups are all Yngwie tone, too! All three pickups are Seymour Duncan YJM Fury . Switch pickups with a 3-position blade and make it wail with the American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge. The brass nut provides a bright sound you can't get any other way. Made in Fender's Corona, California factory. Includes case.

  • Well worth it!!!

As reviewed by Mr. Jinx on 3/25/2009

I bought this strat sight unseen. Never played a scalloped neck either. Now cut to the chase. Quality is very high, action was great out of the box. While Yngwie shreds don't expect this guitar to an ultra low action with a flat fretboard like Ibanez or Jacksons. Only issue (which I believe is my playing) is slipping off the fret on the high E string sometimes. I don't know why people make such a big deal out of a scalloped neck. Much to my surprise it took no time getting used too. The pups are not high output so if you're looking for a heavy sound you'll need a preamp or pedals to achieve that tone. But for me, flick that switch into the neck setting and let this baby sing. If you got the cash this is a great investment.

  • Great guitar for many styles

As reviewed by Guitaristofmanystyles on 2/26/2009

I play many forms of music from jazz and blues to rock and metal. I own and play many brands from Ibanez to Fender and even Laguna and Ovation guitars. The Yngwie Strat is my first and only scalloped fret guitar and I fell in love with it instantly. This is the very top of the line in terms of quality and craftsmanship that I have ever played. It was not hard at all to get used to the scallops. In fact I was playing all my trademark licks and runs on in within the first five minutes of playing it. It is very easy to get Yngwie's signature tones with a good distortion unit and it sounds and plays great on jazz, blues, rock etc. Two thumbs UP!

  • Top of the line Fender

As reviewed by John on 11/6/2008

When I walked into my music store, I noticed a Stratocaster that had a scalloped neck. I had always been curious about Scalloped necks. After taking it down, I plugged it into one of the JVM stacks that was there. Turning the drive and the delay up, I began to play and let me just say, I could not put this one down. Everything about this guitar including the neck and the pickups was amazing. The only slight problem with players new to scalloped necks is that you have to use a very light touch or else you will go sharp. This is a definite buy.
