  • Couldn't be any better...

As reviewed by Timber on 3/5/2011

I have played American Standards, Mex strats and even a few vintage strats, but this guitar just spoke to me when I picked it up and played it. Had to have it, there was no other guitar in the store that felt or played the same. I have never regretted it, as the sound, the feel, the action and the sustain are all incredible. Save your money and buy this, you will never need or want another guitar. I play this more often than my vintage '74 SG Custom or my '80 Les Paul Custom. It just sings...

  • Buy it, love it.

This guitar is amazing. Beautiful to look at, amazing action, best neck I've ever played, and the mid boost is pretty cool as well. I'll keep this guitar forever. Nothing to complain about. Buy it yesterday.

  • I've Never Regretted It

As reviewed by Les Ismour on 4/20/2011

I've had this guitar for 3 years now. Been a working pro most of my life. I have some nice Gibsons and Fenders but this became my number one almost immediately. Great, clear Strat tone with TBX midway and mid boost off. Then open up other possibilities from there. Basically a nice, solid '57 style strat with the correct wood and hardware. The soft V, one-piece maple neck is especially well crafted. Fit and finish is excellent. Add the modern electronics and it is the most versatile Strat on the market IMO. I found out early that, to get the bell tones ringing, the pickups need to be set low. The vintage noiseless have a very strong magnetic pull. My approach to tone is Old School, and this guitar and a good tube amp (mine is a 57 Twin reissue) have enabled me to ditch all my pedals. Plug straight into the amp, crank it up to the breaking point (around 7 on my amp) and ride the guitar volume to increase and decrease gain. Guitar volume on 6 for clean, 7 for clean with an edge, 8 for blues overdrive, 10 for blues/classic rock solos, and then crank up the mid boost for Cream-y overdrive. Beautiful rich tone all the way. In the past I have taken the same approach with my older Strats, but always needed a clean boost pedal to go into the thick overdrive zone. The Clapton electronics enable the same capability without the need of a pedal. Beautiful, well thought out guitar. I've already worn out the frets twice.
