Combat finger grunge!

Gauges: 11-15-22-32-42-52. Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years, and they deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play. Nanoweb coating permits strings with the feel, bright tone, and punch of traditional strings. Elixir Acoustic Guitar Strings are covered with an ultra-thin, space-age polymer tube that contacts the string on the tops of the windings only. This leaves the all-important winding-to-winding-to-core space free from the fear of the enemies of tone! Most players report that Elixir Strings keep sounding great 3 to five times longer than ordinary strings.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Very Bright

As reviewed by Aaron on 3/3/2011

Admittedly, I've only been playing guitar 5 years or so, and I've never (until recently) owned an acoustic. However, I am a bit of a tech head and recording buff, so my ear knows what sounds good. A lot of my guitar buddies recommended Elixir strings, most of whom said the 11's were what they played with. I decided to go with these Nanowebs because they were supposed to be brighter, which is good if you're tracking a song or playing with other people and want the acoustic to stick out. I love the sound of these. Note that the bright sound wouldn't be suited for people who do a lot of solo playing as the bottom end isn't as heavy, but even a little EQ work can fix that problem if you're plugged it. These are awesome strings, and I hope they last me a long time.

  • Great strings, great vendor, great price!!!!!

As reviewed by Lynn Breaux on 10/11/2010

I've been using these strings for ages on a GA Guitars Crown of Thorns, a Takamine FP360SC and a Baby Taylor. They are perfect for me, last a long, long while, and are just the right gauge for my playing. If you're buying them, you may as well get them for the best price. That is here at the Guitar Center. We do know that the best price isn't always the best price if the freight is kicked up, or the service sucks, but that's not the case here. Great service, great price, reasonable freight and quick shipping. Can't ask for more.

  • Pricy But Smooth

As reviewed by Old Hippie on 7/2/2007

I bought these for my son's guitar. (small beginner hands) He likes them better than anything else we've tried. He says they're "slippery"! Personally, I like the tone of Martin strings better...but for smaller, beginning hands, these are the way to go.
