The finest harmonic distortion/sustain ever! Made in NYC!

Look Out Hendrix
I reserached this pedal before buying it and found out that Hendrix died in 1970, and this pedal hit the scene in 71. Although hendrix got to play on a prototype, it will make you thing he is playing for you when you plug this into your rig.
I play classic rock with this pedal and there is no substitutes, match this to my mexican strat, and my 65' reissue deluxe reverb, and you can smell the 60's. It doesnt really have a mild, it's more of that all out crazy Hendrix distortion, and distorted harmonics. The tone control is a liesaver and can dial in any soudyou need form a Hedrix bass, to a violin like treble. It's very affordable and if I had to trade evey pedal I own, I would for this one.

Sickness
This pedal is the nastiest piece of hardware you can buy. I use a total of nine pedals and this one is the beast of the group. Of course, you can gen some nice fuzz with light distortion, but when you max this thing out, it delivers. The distortion sounds like a speaker that blew just the right way. This pedal is a monster from hell!!!

not your everyday distortion
I owned a vintage Big Muff for years but had to give it away so I bought this reissue. The sound is not as dirty as the original but, like all Big Muffs, still has a unique distortion.
The unit is very simple operate. Volume is, of course, for volume (and trust me...this thing gets loud). The tone is just like the tone for a guitar, ccw for more bass and cw for treble. The sustain knob dials in the ditorion and this is the knob that sets this pedal apart. It's not just a heavy fuzz, it has this slight chime to it. As you turn the knob cw, you acheive a stronger distortion that also increases the sustain of the note.
So, not like the vintage ones but still holds it's own as a must have.

A Classic
I used one of these pedals in the '80's, when I was gigging very often. The pedal wasn't mine; a friend left it in my basement and I used it for several years until he asked for it back. The sound was very smooth and sweet, with endless sustain. Great for solos and added a nice crunch on chords, though I used it less often for that purpose. I was not able to find one when I went out for a new distortion pedal, and the ones I settled for since just seemed sub-par compared to the Big Muff. I plan on buying a new one, although I may opt for the Little Big Muff over this model, since the construction on the Little Big Muff seems sturdier. I was having to rescrew the cover plate fairly often on the old one, which sold for about $25 in the late '70's when my friend bought his. At over triple that price, it becomes more of an investment, though I would pay it for a pedal that sounds as good as this.

Have a peice of the Pi
This is pedal that makes beautiful sounds that will make your heart sing with joy. It works on so many levels. This is one of the greatest distorchines that was ever made. This pedal can produce a low basy kind of harmonix tone or a really narrow tight sustained distorchine. Or any thing in the middle. There is no comparison of the unmistakeable tone that it makes I highly reccomend it.
