Wound to Eddie Van Halen's original specs, it installs in any humbucker-equipped guitar.

Think of this pickup as a brand-new version of the original Frankenstein's battle-worn guitar pickup, wound to the exact original specs and built to fit in any humbucking-pickup-equipped guitar. One of the most famous humbuckers of all time is now available at a competitive price and serves as a great upgrade and alternative to the popular crop of cliché replacement humbuckers.

  • I've waited 25 years for this pickup!

As reviewed by Ray McCanna on 9/23/2011

Just had Guitar Center install this pickup into my 1985 Kramer Baretta. I've had a Seymour Duncan JB in it for 25 years, and it sounds like I have a new guitar. It sounds through my amp the way this guitar was always intended to sound. Everything you've read and more should be said about this pickup. Best purchase I've ever made.

  • Dead on!!!!!

As reviewed by J-Mo on 7/18/2011

Never wrote a review before and probably wont afetr this either. This is the most versatile, all playing styles, full range pickup ive played. Ive had alot of pickups from SD, Jb ,Jazz, 59, Invader, from hot to mild. This one is great for evrything. Light and articulate for strumming chords and you can hear the chords thru out clearly, not muddy like others that i have had, and has plenty of balls on the dirty side as well, Ive put it on LP squiers, fenders with diffent necks, ( Maple neck on 80 squier right now) sounds the best! Worth the price by far, because you will not waste time trying to find your sound, this IS the sound long live EVH.

  • Brown sound

As reviewed by Nick on 5/19/2011

I am an evh fanatic and from the moment I slapped this baby in my old guitar I got the tone I have wanted for years. I put in a 90's squire strat and the sound is still amazing. Pinch harmonics, artificial harmonics, and tapping are all a breeze. This pickup would be great even if I didn't like evh good for 80s rock up through hard rock and pickups up variations in picking technique amazing. I have never wrote a review that is how great this pickup is.
