Pick up the ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar and you'll believe this lightweight beauty can do it all. Mahogany body with 24-3/4"-scale set mahogany neck. Rosewood fretboard (ebony on vintage black) is adorned with abalone flags plus the model name at the 12th fret. TonePros locking bridge and tailpiece keep tuning rock-solid. Features a pair of active EMG-81/60 pickups, except the amber sunburst model that sports a Seymour Duncan JB/59 passive pickup setup and a flamed maple top. See-thru colors all have quilted maple tops.
This guitar is absolutely amazing! It has the perfect Metallica sound and plays great. I first played it at my local Guitar Center and fell in love. It is a great guitar for music like Metallica, Slayer, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, ect.

ESP makes phenomenal guitars, especially this great Les Paul-inspired EC-1000. I picked up this guitar for the first time in early July, and walked out of the store with it in hand the same day (and for a decent price! ;]). The EMG actives scream on high gain, but also put out a nice, fat tone when played clean. I love the sustain that the pickups and mahogany neck/body provide. The super thin neck and Xtra Jumbo frets have allowed me to play certain styles and patterns I couldn't on other similar guitars. I honestly think this guitar has allowed me to become a better player all around. NO WONDER SO MANY GREAT ARTISTS ENDORSE THIS AMAZING INSTRUMENT! Of the many guitars in my arsenal, this is one that I will probably never let go of. A+ for this guitar, and two huge thumbs up to ESP and all of their other products!

I've been playing guitar for 15+ years. This guitar offers versatility as well as playability. The locking tuners are top notch and the pickups scream. I play a wide variety of music and haven't found one style that doesn't fit.

I could write a short novel telling the things i love about this guitar but ill just keep it nice and to the point. I got the black cherry one and it looks amazing. Its everything i was looking for in a guitar after trading and trading and looking forever and trying to find the 1 guitar that was for me. This guitar is a professional, built to the best specs and features of any guitar ive evr played or any guitar on the market in my opinion. i wanted a guitar with no pain in the neck tone robbing floyd rose trem. i wanted mahagony body with active emg's instead of settling for agaithis body and passive pickups which are good also. i just wanted the best of every feature and this guitar delivers it all and then some. it sounds better the more i play it and i have become a better player bc of it. it also has a mahogany neck instead of maple which i think further improves the tone with a mahogany body. with the specifications of this guitar it naturally,,{ after reasearching other companies products } should be priced over 2 grand easily and could be priced 2 - 3 grand and it wouldnt be out of the ordinary. this is truly one of esp's finer products at an amazing price for what u get. I love everything about it

Dont get the stars wrong, this guitar is great. But with the exact same guitar at sam ash in almost every color for $599, it would be stupid to buy this guitar from guitar center. The guitar itself is awesome. good sound, solid harmonics, the works. the only two cons are that its heavy, and that even though the tuning heads lock the strings from stretching out of tune, getting the strings in tune in the first place is difficult. The tuning heads as you lock it detunes the strings. so actually dialing in the tune can be frustrating.
