A fine string winder for the money

The Dunlop Gel String Winder is a fine product at an excellent price. I've had it for several years, and haven't had any problems with it. I use a multi-purpose guitar tool for most of my string changes, but I keep sthis as a spare in a guitar bag. The slot for tuning pegs is very large, so it'll work well with most any guitar, unless there isn't much space between the tuning pegs on the headstock. The notch for pulling bridge pins on an acoustic is just right--no complaints there. This is a good product for the money--you can't go wrong with this one.

Seen better

Picked this up because I needed a little something to get me free shipping. I already have another from Stew Mac. The Stew Mac one works like a charm this one not so much. The head turns well by itself but once you start to try to use it on a tuning machine it gets stiff and binds. I can make due with it but it is cumbersome at best. Maybe I just got a bad one, for the couple of bucks it cost, it is not worth the time spent to work it out.
