DigiTech Hardwire Series RV-7 Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal (105018659)
Availability:

World-class Lexicon reverbs and innovative features.

The DigiTech RV-7 is a reverb pedal with innovative features like Liveliness Control. Add world-class Lexicon reverbs like room, plate, reverse, spring, modulated, gated, and hall, and this HardWire Series DigiTech pedal is in a class all its own.

The DigiTech HardWire pedal series represents DigiTech's commitment to quality and attention to subtle details. In addition to technical enhancements like true bypass and high-voltage operation, all DigiTech HardWire effects pedals feature rugged, all-metal construction, a wide, stage-stable footprint, durable, custom-machined metal knobs for a sure grip, and precision potentiometers that guarantee knob positions will stay intact.

The rugged, durable construction of DigiTech Extreme Performance pedals is just the beginning. Inside each HardWire pedal are technological features that serious players require—all updated and improved to their utmost capacity. True bypass preserves the purity of your original tone as signal passes through the pedal, and high-voltage operation further protects your sound by eliminating clipping and other signal degradation caused by power drain.

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal—normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. DigiTech HardWire pedals incorporate circuitry that increases the operating voltage headroom above that of the typical effects pedal. As such, DigiTech HardWire pedals benefit a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

HardWire Pedals include the following stage accessories:
Stomplock™ knob guard locks your tone in place and prevent tampering or accidental knob adjustments onstage
Pedal Switch Glow Sticker helps you locate the pedal in adverse stage lighting
Custom-cut Hook and Loop Pedalboard Pad to attach and lock your pedals to your pedalboard

  • Bravo Digitech!

As reviewed by Richard on 9/15/2008

This is the best sounding reverb pedal that I've ever heard or played. I've been playing for over 30 years, and I've had several of the Boss reverbs and Line 6, and Electro Harmonix, and this one beats them all. First, it's got the best and most natural sounding spring reverb of any pedal. Second, it adds NO noise or hiss to the signal path. This things is the BEST. Make sure that you invest in the power adapter, though. This thing eats batteries pretty fast.

  • Highly Recomended

As reviewed by Inon Beiser on 5/30/2010

I play on a LP studio hooking this pedal straight to the amp input (Fender HRD) mainly Jazz, Blues, Bossa and Rock roughly in that order. First I would start off with the sound of this pedal. It is very "transparent" even when the level knob is set relatively high. this transparency include very low noise level. I mainly liked and use the "Plate", "Modulated" and "Room" modes. The Plate mode gives excellent lush sound with very smooth decay which last as long as you like and still keeps the guitar tone clear and unchanged. The Modulated mode is somewhere between the "Plate" and "Hall" modes in terms of its reverb model with the added "chorusy" modulated sound which gives very interesting delicate twist to the guitar's tone. I liked the "Room" mode with the decay set on almost maximum level for live session playing scenarios. The "Liveliness" dumps the highs but in my taste keeping it in high levels is what I desire to keep the overall "transparent" sound. All in all, this pedal gives excellent value for the money in terms of features richness, sound quality and construction quality. I highly recommend it!

  • Mmmm Lexicon Plate Reverb

As reviewed by Tone Connoisseur on 5/11/2010

These pedals have Lexicon technology inside. Lexicon makes the best studio reverb units. If you're looking for Spring Reverb, then buy the T-Rex Tonebug Reverb instead. But, if you like full lush studio quality plate or hall reverb, then this is your pedal. It far exceeds the Boss RV-5, which I found to be cheap, harsh & clanky sounding. Great pedal! Sounds amazing through my Egnater!
