Amazing

Bought Jan 2006. Playing 30 years now. When I first investigated this guitar on MF.com, the reviews there got me interested. I special ordered in store from Guitar Center Southfield (Sean, you are the best) It came in about four months sooner than predicted. I got a Braziliaburst finish (gorgeous.) The playability of this guitar is fantastic. The low action was perfect. The only problem was that it did not come with the pots that tapped the coils. 2 emails to Deans support address got me a reply. The push/pull pots they were using were failing and they started sending them out without the feature. This was a huge disappointment but the guitar played/responded so well that I couldn't think of going with another product. It was one of those smiling, love at first play moments. This was my first intimate encounter with a Dean and I would definitely give them another try if opportunity knocks.

One of the best values

Plays as well as the US model that costs twice as much. Finish is incredible, and flawless on the ones I've seen and played. Just bought a new Martin, if not the Tiger Eye would be my newest guitar. So, now I have to say the Tiger Eye will be my next guitar.

Great Gutar Overall

This is my second guitar. Moving on up from a Peavy Raptor Plus EXP. Been playing for a few years and noticed this guitar has a lot better sound and sustain vs the Raptor. It has a bit of weight to it as well. It really has a mean crunch but can be really mellow. I really enjoy the hardtail design. And got a lot of oo's and Ahh's from fellow guitar players on it's style. It was a tough decision on the color but I went with the Transblue. Guitar was received impeccable shape. Only one flaw was that on mine the 9th fret pearl inlay grain was in a weird angle that it makes it hard to see. But not a big deal. Also purchased the Dean Hardtail case. I'd buy another as it looks good and plays good. And the finish is a lot better than some other guitars i've seen in the same price range.

WOW!

This guitar is amazing!! First, the strings are set high off the body so it makes it impossible to "pick scratch" the body. Secondly, when you put this monster on distortion it is amazing, then when you put it on clean it sounds nice and creamy. The action is great. This guitar does not go out of tune either, even with some hard playing. If you're a a person who likes to play metal, and you think this guitar wont do the job.... trust me it will. Finally, this guitar is expensive but not too, i think this guitar is worth way more to. Finally, the finish the guitar the.... everything is beautiful!! A good buy/must buy for anyone who's serious about playing guitar.
