Slightly smaller for playing comfort yet still maintains a full, nylon-string sound.

Slightly smaller than a standard guitar (7/8 size, 630mm scale length), the Dolce is great for anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable, and easy playing instrument. It is built with the traditional Spanish fan bracing, a solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides. To adjust the string height on this guitar, use the truss rod that is included in the neck.

  • Beautiful baby

As reviewed by Kay Meek on 8/27/2012

The Cardoba Dolce 7/8 is one of the most beautiful guitars that I've ever played. Everything about this beautiful baby is absolutely perfection. The mahogany wood on side and back glows with a beautiful golden sheen when the guitar is moved around. The Canadian cedar top has a beautiful rich color. The rosette is stunning. The Dolce is light weight and has feel of a much more expensive guitar. The voice is warm, yet has a strong volume and has a beautiful sustain. This guitar sounds much better than my $2000 Alhambra. The only negative point that I've seen is that the tuner buttons are beautiful, but fragile. If they are held by the edges when tuning, they can break easily. When I contacted the Cardoba company about the problem, they sent me a replacement button very quickly. I wish that all of my students would be able to have a Dolce.

  • Big Bang for Buck!

As reviewed by Jordan on 12/17/2014

This is the first classical guitar I have owned and I couldn't be more impressed. It's a 7/8 size so slightly smaller than a standard, but it doesn't sacrifice volume or quality of sound. It's light and portable, very comfortable and easy to play. The action is low and the guitar is really easy to play. It comes with a truss rod so you can adjust the neck to your preference and at your leisure; a nice option. I recommend Cordoba to anyone asking me about classical guitars, and I'll certainly direct them to the Dolce!

  • Slightly smaller scale with a full sized sound

As reviewed by Nancy Wilson on 3/8/2014

I love this guitar- the body is just the tiniest bit smaller than a Manual Rodriguez C1 full size, but the 630 scale is 3/4 of an inch shorter than full size. So the bass is cut only very slightly because of the length and yet the sound isn't inhibited by the body, as in the even smaller guitars. It's basically a Cordoba C5 but just slightly smaller. So the sound is bright and has great volume, while the cedar top gives good sustain. The smaller scale is quicker to navigate, and the notes don't sustain quite as long, so I find it actually easier to play than full size. Very enjoyable and less strain to practice and improvise with. And I love a truss rod in a classical guitar to enhance the life.
