The Noise Terminator is a 9V-battery-powered pedal designed to preserve the original tonal characteristics of your signal while removing unwanted noise that occurs when multiple effects are used. It surpasses the performance of conventional noise gates by allowing the player to switch between 2 threshold settings: Soft - with less noisy equipment or Hard - when more radical settings are required.

The remote jack allows you to connect the Noise Terminator to an external MIDI switching system, which allows the player to go between the soft and hard settings with ease.

  • Does what it does

    Owned and used this pedal for a summer of Touring. Worked great for silencing the single coil hum of my Tele in spots that I didn't play. Hitting the switch turns on the hard channel which was great for eliminating that extra hum that came with adding extra drive. The two knobs were simple and easy, and gave me every option I wanted out of a noise gate. I gave this pedal 3 stars for two reasons. First reason, the pedal is too expensive for the function it performs. Second, the pedal is always on once you power it and plug it in. Since the switch only turns on the hard gate, the soft gate is always on. So, when I used humbuckers the pedal was just in the way and I had to lower the soft gate and re adjust once i brought back the tele. This is not the perfect noise gate considering the price. But, it does get the job done.
