Sugar Rush yourself with the Cake!

After a long wait of looking for the right midi interface I stumble against this delicious cake!!! Take my word for it, IT WORKS!!!! I'm not the type of person to give reviews, so this is a pretty big statement! The process? It couldn't be easier. I just followed the instructions ( super easy ones) and DIN DIN! it was done!! It only took minutes. My recommendation: LOOK NO FURTHER this is the interface that you need, plus the price is a bargain! The Setup? Macbook Pro running the latest OS (Snow Leopard) with Logic 9 and a Yamaha YDP-223 as the controller!! 88 KEYS AND LOGIC=Heaven!!!!! Get the Cake and give yourself a sugar rush!!
It Really works!!!

Here's the deal, I use Live 8, Reason 4, and FL Studio 9. I also have a collection of MIDI sound modules that I use and a Casio CDP-100 Piano that I use as a MIDI controller. Why? Because I could care less about faders and more about the key action and it's rock solid. Anyhow, I own a MIDISPORT 4x4 and M is having driver trouble, even with their BETA driver. It works great sending to my sound modules but it will not MIDI in from a keyboard so I went looking for another solution. I purchased the Cakewalk MIDI to USB adapter and it works like a charm even with my MIDISPORT. By the way, I'm running Windows 7 so we all know what a challenge that is with music gear. I also noticed that it is a Roland driver and those guys know MIDI so that might contribute to a good working interface. I highly recommend this product. It works and that's saying a lot!

Most importantly (unlike my M-Audio MIDI Sport), it works with Snow Leopard, without any driver installation (no driver required for "normal" mode, that is). Haven't tried the "advanced mode", which does require a driver, but I probably won't need it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the cables are short-ish and male, so I need to buy extensions. I thought they'd be female so I could use my existing cables. If I'd known they were male I'd have bought one of the other models with built-in females.
