After playing with a lot of guitarists over the years, I finally decided to buy a loop pedal so I could play by myself for once. I cannot stop using this thing! It is THE BEST money I've ever spent for a guitar accessory! A little pricey, but it's definitely worth it. You can add drum loops and plug in a mic to add voices! Don't pass this up.
This is the first time I've ever tried any type of playback device. It works great and I LOVE it . But the "double tap" to stop recording takes a bit of practice so you hit it just right. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, and was using it before I even looked at the manual, so it's intuitive enough with the labels on the buttons. Now that I've browsed though the manual, I find dubbing and adding percussion are pretty easy. The percussion may not be the best, but it's enough to keep a beat, and a lot more fun than a metronome.
One thing I've learned to be careful of is when clicking to stop my playback, that I don't inadvertently leave it in record mode. There have been a couple times where I recorded some "junk" onto my loop. Easy enough to correct, but still a minor annoyance when it happens.
But all in all, I love this thing, and I don't know how I practiced without it all these years.
Excellent unit. I already own the RC2 and just purchased this RC3, and discovered something very interesting in reference to both units. The RC3 is an oustanding looper that after learning how to use it, it becomes very easy to operate, and not any harder than the RC2. As a classical guitar player I expect a clean and pure sound out of my guitar, that the RC3 does provide on my recordings. I took a sample of one of my loop track recorded with the RC2 with drums included and transfer this directly from the RC2 out to the RC3 in, and I have a 100% quality transfered loop,and even sincronized the tempo and drums from the RC3 with the recording. Better yet I was capable of storing this transfer to my computer for Storage with my RC3.The stereo capability of the RC3 will also provide additional instruments or effects to add to your loops. Oustanding unit !!!!
