  • Awsome usb/preamp

    This works really well as a preamp/connection for usb from your mic to your computer.I have made a few songs already and i have had no probs just had to set everything up and now i have basically a plug in play mic when ever i need it i just plug it in to my usb port and im good 2 go.

  • I can record anywhere with my best microphones

    I like using my Macbook to record in natural settings, but to use my good microphones, I had to have power for my mixer. Not anymore. The "Icicle", lets me use a quality condenser mic to add a vocal track in an canyon or cave with the natural echo I like for a particular song. I tried the USB microphones that are designed to plug into a computer, but the sound quality is very poor. They also have a pesky headphone feature that affects monitoring in a bad way. With the Icicle, I can plug in the appropriate mic for the recording circumstance, with phantom power if needed, anywhere I go. Perfect!

  • A great tool

    this converter/preamp is really a great piece of equipment. combined with my behringer mic, the recording quality was great, and the gain control was very useful, as to avoid confusion with digital recording so you can adjust the gain instead of the recording levels. only complaint is that it feels a little cheaply made, so just be careful with it and dont beat it. i have only had mine for a month and its holding up, but just be careful still.
