Behringer
Description

The Behringer HPS3000 studio headphones provide incredible audio performance for mixing, monitoring or enjoying music. With large 40 mm drivers, they deliver a full frequency response from 20Hz–20kHz so you can hear every nuance in your audio. The closed-back design surrounds your ears with oval-shaped ear cups containing soft padding for comfort. This blocks out external noise, allowing you to immerse yourself completely in your sound.

Large Drivers Deliver Full Frequency Response

You'll be amazed at the dynamic range and clarity of sound produced by the HPS3000's large 40 mm cobalt capsule drivers. They accurately reproduce audio across the entire 20Hz–20kHz frequency spectrum, letting you hear the deepest bass tones and highest treble notes with precision. This allows you to pick out subtle details in your mixes or simply enjoy your music collection to its fullest.

Closed-Back Design Provides Sound Isolation

The closed-back design of the HPS3000 headphones surrounds your ears with padded oval ear cups that block out external noise. This sound isolation allows you to immerse yourself completely in your audio without distraction. Whether you're mixing audio tracks or listening to music, the closed-back design allows you to hear every nuance clearly.

Comfortable Oval Ear Cups

In addition to providing sound isolation, the oval ear cups on the HPS3000 headphones surround your ears in soft padding for hours of comfortable listening. Their ergonomic shape fits naturally around most ears and the soft padding prevents any irritation or fatigue, even during long production or listening sessions.

Tangle-Resistant Cable

A high-quality oxygen-free copper cable connects the left and right ear cups in a single-sided design that resists tangling. The durable cable provides maximum flexibility without compromising audio quality. It comes terminated in a 1/8" TRS connector, with a 1/4" adapter included for compatibility with a variety of devices like MP3 players, phones, mixing consoles and more.

A Good Monitor Choice - for the money

I've been using Behringer HPS3000 headphones in my recording studio for a number of years now. My clients seem happy enough using them, although when given a choice they will usually choose a more expensive set from a different manufacturer, (like my AKG 240's or 141's for example). But, since I have limited numbers of the "higher quality" headphones and more than enough of the HPS3000's available, someone almost always ends up wearing a pair and I really don't get any complaints regarding the sound quality. They are "brigher" and certainly louder than all my other brands and models (AKG, Sennheiser, Audio Technica, etc.), but by turning down the gain on the headphone amp it all works out just fine. The one complaint I DO have is regarding the cushioned headrest. They ARE quite comfortable, BUT over time the outer lining wears off and starts to fall apart in little "flakes". I first noticed this when my clients would remove their headphones and have little black flakes from the headphones in their hair! Sometimes these flakes would find their way onto my clients ears, cheeks or foreheads and when combined with sweat, (my clients pour out their souls when recording!), the flakes become sticky and more difficult to remove! My solution to that problem has been placing a piece of black duct tape over the areas that are getting worn on the head rest. This fix looks hideous, but functions well enough. So... would I buy these again? You bet I would and I'm about to place an order for at least 3 more! Why? 'cause for the money, they can't be beat! And the "flaking" problem didn't occur 'til the units I have now were at least 5 years old, so even if they were to malfunction today, I figure I still got my money's worth out of them. So... for the money, these are a good choice for monitoring. I would NOT choose these as an engineer or producer's headphone for mixing or mastering purposes. For that I wouldn't consider anything being sold for less than $99.00. But for musicians to monitor the tracking performance? You betcha!

These are comfortable headphones. Very mid-focused though. Not that that's a bad thing, just be aware. Lengthy chord (which is always a plus).

Looking for a pair of good/inexpensive headphones for my daughter with little sound leakage. How do these rate for sound leakage? She uses hers quite a bit (teenager) and is annoyed by the fact that everyone can seem to hear what she's listening to.

    Open Reply - Charles
There is sound leakage at high volumes.
