As reviewed by Tony on 11/17/2009

I needed a smaller mixer for my Jazz Group. I have 3 mixers total at this point. Depends on the gig I do. I own a XENYX 2222 FX and recently purchased a XENYX 1202 FX. The 1202 FX doe's most of what my larger board can do. I really dig the FX channels and especially FX # 52. If you adjust this FX properly it is killer for vocals. Since I am the only vocalist I needed a small board. I use 2 JBL EON 15's and with this XENYX 1202 it creates that punch and presence I want. I would like to have a toogle to turn the mixer on and off instead of unplugging the unit in and out for power. I am going to add a power slider switch to the power cord soon. Also if only it had XLR's for the Speaker Main Out instead of the 1/4" access. None the less, everyone always checks out my gear to see what I have thats new. I love this little board. The XENYX 2222 FX I own is awesome for my bigger gigs and I also use a Yamaha 1000 Watt Mixer with passive speakers for other venues. So I ordered my mixer from G/C on a Monday and it was in my hands by that same week Friday morning with "FREE" shipping! This is a great opportunity to get the gear you want and also get free shipping. What a deal!!! As a Solo Vocalist, I mounted a small music stand made by Stagg that has a mount screw to attach to the Mic Stand. The Music Holder is about 10" wide X 12" Length. It's adjustable to any angle. After a few pieces of Velcro to the mixer and music holder I have this mixer at my finger tips while I am singing since it is clamped on to my stand. That way I can change FX and FX Channels while singing live. Thanks G/C and thanks Behringer! I look forward to always singing and performing live!

  • Great Little Mixer

As reviewed by Paddyo on 10/21/2009

We lovingly refer to this mixer as, "The Ghetto Board." It has faithfully served my active working 5-piece band for about four years. The 3-band EQ is fine. Mic pre-amps are as advertised - very quiet and clean. The CD inputs require your mp3 play/IPod/etc. to provide a lot of gain, so beware of that fact. We drive two Behringer powered speakers with this little rig, and plug in the Behringer "Shure SM58 clone," mics. We've played to audiences of close to 500 with this little baby. You can't beat the price/performance/size of this mixer. We now use it primarily as a drum sub-mixer, or when feeling really creative, route the horn section through it and then play with the FX. I have had other bigger, pricier boards die on me and this one keeps going strong. Buy it.

  • This Thing Helped Me Get Signed

As reviewed by Tim on 10/13/2008

When me and my group were all unsigned, we decided to get even more serious about our music and decided to do our first unsigned tour around the state. Well, we did 12 shows and 7 of the 12 shows we had to use our own equipment. This mixer was our choice and this little thing is powerful. We did our first show by accident w/o a power amp and between the mixer and the PA system, the sound was bouncing off the buildings on fountain square. After that once we got our power amp this thing was perfect. Only downside is there is no on/off sqitch so if u wanna turn it off ya gotta unplug it but otherwise i really dont think you need anything bigger unless you have a lot of stuff to run sound through. Definately reccomend
