Behringer U-CONTROL UCA202 USB-Audio Interface

Since the product is designed to appeal to the home recording novice, a more thorough explanation of how to actually interface with your PC would have been very helpful. The manual only stated the obvious. It took me three or four hours of trial and error and research to identify such terms as ASIO, latency, CODEC, and VST Host. The driver software had good instructions but the manual should identify what to input in the settings. I still can't determine what the latency rate actually is supposed to be. I had poor success with all of the recording software programs that were linked from the Behringer web site, which either had no explanation of how to use them or made no sense at all from the screen view. I finally stumbled across recording software while searching for a program to convert WAV to WMA or mp3 so that I could record to CD. I am, however, very pleased with the UCA202 device itself. It does exactly what is supposed to do at a reasonable cost.

Mini Wonder!

Hey, if you are like me and just getting started recording, this is the box for you. It is VALUABLE - for the price it is perfect. Hook up was beyond easy, it worked perfectly the first time. I just had to jerry rig it so that I could record on the same machine I was using as mix input. One thing though, is you have to get a mixer (if you don't already have one). Behringer makes some good ones too. Instructions could have been a little clearer on what it does behind the scenes.

Awsome Deal

I bought this and man It worked wonders. I was verry suprised about the sound quality and how easy it was to set up. when I got it I started recording my Guitar, bass, Drums, and vocals and it all recorded in great Quality. It us very much worth the buy.

Awesome if done right

I think this is an absolute must for just polishing off a system. I actually run it with a 2 channel pre amp to boost power but as is works just as well. A little more guidence with the drivers would have been helpful. But it is a cheap but good quality interface. It also fits in your pocket which is just downright sweet.
