I replaced my 20 note long throw pedal board on my Hammond SK2 with this one. Why? I play with both feet and, as I've improved I find I need the extra range. The smaller boards pedals hinge in the front while this one hinges in the back. In heel-toe playing the front hinge requires longer travel on the heel to fully depress the pedal. If you play with shoes it's not an issue but barefoot it is. Also, the radial pattern of these pedals are more natural to the angle of your foot, especially on the extreme ends. Still this will be a bear to haul around. My wife helped me make a 'case' from a large furniture pad and a pair of 8-foot strap-a-handles. If you play with one foot, you don't need this board. But if you are obsessive about your bass lines this is what you need.
