Really like the tone on these. Texture is a bit rougher than what I usually use , but definitely doable. Finding them on clearance was a great deal ! Happy camper and #sweepstake entry.
Yes I would buy this set of strings again

Ernie ball hit a home run with these strings. I have used a lot of different strings over the years, including Ernie Ball Hybrid slinky. After using the new Cobalts, I am blown away. Super bright! I will never use another string.
Loud and bright, but a little floppy on the E string

These strings are loud, bright and have a decent feel. They are better than standard Ernie Ball strings, but are still a little floppy on the low E string, especially if you tune down to drop D. They have a good sound for slap, but are so bright, I found myself turing the treble way down on my bass to keep them from being harsh. Because of the floppiness in the E string, I can't get the action too low without buzz. Overall, they're not bad, but not great either.
