I use a Shure beta 98 h mic, which requires phantom power, on my tenor and run it through an A20 20W Acoustic Guitar Amplifier for smaller venues. The amp is great, but like most amps, it doesn't have phantom powering. I've long admired Behringer equipment for its excellent design and construction. I use a Behringer external sound card on my desktop computer and it made a huge difference in the sound. This little phantom power module is built well and doesn't add any noise. As a bonus, it's about half the cost of most other phantom power modules.

I am a keyboard player. I use a Motion Sound Pro 3 Leslie emulator that I mic up for live gigs. I have been getting by using a Shure 58 on a boom stand, and hey it got the job done but I wanted to improve upon that set up. So after some research I decided to semi-permanently mount an Audix F90 Condenser mic on the Leslie cabinet. The F90 required phantom power. After more research I settled on the Behringer MICROPOWER phantom power supply and decided to purchase it through Guitar center. Guitar Center had the best pricing, a local physical presence and I felt better buying from a company whose name I recognized. I felt if I had any issues with the product that Guitar Center would be there for returns/service/support if needed. I ordered online w/ a credit card. I was given regular email updates on the status of my order. I had the unit shipped (Ground)to a local Guitar Center location. I was notified 3 days later via email when the unit arrived. I picked up the power supply at Guitar center along w/ some extra mic cords I needed, got it back home and hooked the power supply up to complete my set up. It performed flawlessly and was quiet. Bottom line: Great product, great price and supplied by a reputable company.

I was initially REALLY nervous about purchasing this inexpensive power supply. However, Once I started to use it all my fears faded away. This is a nice little power supply that provides a good reliable power source to my new condenser mic. No noise, easy hookup, small footprint...perfect for the home studio. This is perfect for those that need to power only one mic and don't have a lot of money. I love it!

The behringer ps400 phantom power supply works well, letting you use a condenser mic if your mixer does not have a phantom power supply. It's small size makes it very convenient and easy to use. I use it with my Shure Beta87C microphone hooked up to a powered speaker.
