Boss GT-100 Part 1
Description
The BOSS GT-100 redefines what a multi-effects pedal can achieve, with its advanced COSM modeling that flawlessly emulates vintage amps and delivers spectacular new tones. Musicians and sound designers will appreciate its intuitive dual-LCD interface and customizable parameters that make dialing in any tone effortless. The GT-100 is a flagship model that provides an unparalleled level of performance and tonal versatility for live playing or studio work. The GT-100 is the ultimate solution for guitarists seeking an all-in-one effects processor that spans the spectrum from classic to futuristic.
Advanced COSM Amp Modeling Covers All Tonal Bases
The GT-100 leverages BOSS's cutting-edge COSM modeling to reproduce coveted vintage amp tones with stunning realism, as well as conjure up entirely new sounds. It offers replicas of classics like the Fender Twin Reverb, Marshall JCM800 and Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier, accurately capturing their sonic nuances. But the GT-100 goes further, enabling you to customize amp parameters well beyond the capabilities of the originals. Want a Rectifier tone with Vox AC30-style EQ? The GT-100 can do that and more, opening up a world of tonal possibilities.
Intuitive Interface Puts Total Control at Your Fingertips
With its dual LCD screens and panel of eight knobs, the GT-100 delivers an interface that guitarists will find instantly familiar and intuitive to navigate. There are no complex menus to scroll through. All parameters are accessible directly, allowing you to customize tones, build patches from scratch and shape sounds on the fly with no hassle. The graphical Tone Grid feature simplifies the process of constructing unique sounds to suit your needs.
Accel Pedal Enables Expressive Sound Manipulation
A signature feature of the GT-100 is its innovative Accel pedal, which gives you simultaneous control over multiple parameters for time-based effects. You can assign the pedal to control functions like Feedback level, S-Bend depth or Twist rate and then manipulate them in real time as you play. The result is an effects experience that is far beyond static presets, enabling truly expressive and dramatic sound manipulation.
Comprehensive Connectivity for Any Application
With its robust I/O options, the GT-100 is suitable for any playing or recording situation. It offers an XLR mic input, phantom power and reverb for acoustic-electric guitar; stereo effects loops for integrating external gear; MIDI in/out for controlling other devices; and USB for direct recording and connection to the BOSS Tone Studio editor. The GT-100 is a professional-grade unit ready to handle any task with the connectivity and power required.

Move over, GT-10
This thing is fantastic. I've owned a GT-10B for several years, but I had attempted to use compacts for my guitar that I've been getting more into the past few years. Recently, I reached a boiling point with the compacts due to difficulty setting up and lack of flexibility between songs, plus I missed all the amazing features of my GT-10B that I have on bass. So I took all my gear to GC and picked this guy up (apparently they don't care GT-10s in-store anymore) for very little cost to me, after I returned and traded in my pedals. Anyways...this thing is a vast improvement over the GT-10, imo. There are a lot of differences, but enough similarities to where experienced GT-10 users (like myself) are right at home after about five minutes of tinkering. If you're not familiar with any of the GT's, there will be a learning curve, but it's totally worth it. The main reason I say that is because there's simply SO MUCH this thing can do, it will take you a while to really unlock its potential; not because it's difficult to use. All your effects are there, they sound great, amp models sound great, the presets actually sound great, the two screens make it much easier to navigate menus and change parameters compared to the GT-10, it has every output you could need, a tank-like expression pedal, sexy black casing, EIGHT patch control switches (in Manual mode, which I highly recommend), and so much more. This thing has it all. Do your research, read reviews, listen to examples and demos on youtube, but you heard it from me: this thing is a lights out effects processor. 10/10.

Absolutely Horrid Distortions
I bought one of these from my local GC a few days ago. After wasting many hours trying to tweak the distortions I finally took it back today. I don't see how anyone who has used Line6 products extensively could like this unit. The high-gain amps and distortions sound very fake, and even the pinch harmonics sound like they are going through a step filter or auto-tuner. I bought the GT-100 because the advertisements said that Boss/Korg/Roland had completely redesigned the amp models and his unit has a processor custom built for it. I'm not seeing any of that in the tone. The sounds are harsh and have the same upper mid digital sound that the old GT-6 unit had (I tried one of those years ago and returned it). I urge anyone considering one of these to side-by-side it with a Line6 product first. I returned the Boss and got a Line6 HD500 and not only does it sound tremendously better, it also cost $80 less than the GT100.

Gt100is an amazing multi effects pedal, I got no issues with it, had mine for 5 years. I created my own stuff, I don't use any of the factory presets, those suck🤭🤭🤭.
What did I do without this multi effect's pedal!?

This unit is just incredible. I've been playing since the early 70's and with all the equipment that I've owned I really think the GT100 has possibly impressed me more than anything I've bought! There's some wonderful preset sounds in this tone monster and it's easy to edit the one's that you like. If you're already proficient at programming pedals then this one will be a dream for you to manipulate. This isn't my first multi effects pedal but I don't enjoy programming and this is by far the easiest to program of the one's I've owned. I can't say enough about the sound of this thing. It has every tone that you could ever need. It's extremely quiet too. I'm definitely glad that I made this purchase. I can see a lasting relationship building!
I love this thing!!

I'm going back and forth between this product....GT 100.....and it's big brother, the 1000. Is the GT 100 able to be setup to STOMPBOX MODE? Basically, set the Footswitch's to control individual Effects as well as Tap Tempo & Tuner. I've watched sooo many videos between the 100 and the 1000 that I've gotten myself confused...which is extremely easy!! Is the 1000 really worth double the price?? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks
Among the chief differences will be the GT-1000 has a 32 bit AD/DA and 96 kHz sampling rate. This will greatly increase the dynamics available in the tone and responsiveness. The amp modeling is going to be of a higher quality and react more closely to how a tube amp would respond.
