JHS Pedals

Description

The JHS Pedals Sweet Tea V3 is the company's "Everything Medium-to-High gain 2-in-1,” and it covers all the bases from light breakup, blues, rock, heavy grind and more.

The Sweet Tea V3 is for anyone who wants a versatile overdrive/distortion that covers all the bases you need plus more. You’ll find medium-to-high gain tones and the ability to stack for the perfect way to melt faces.

The right side is the Moonshine V2, which is a highly unique and massively tweaked version of the most famous overdrive ever created housed in a little green enclosure. The Moonshine V2 has the classic mid-heavy tones that you’d expect but with more gain, volume and tones available than you ever thought possible. The Moonshine V2 has the same core tone as the Moonshine Version 1, has been given a “Clean” knob to blend in the perfect amount of clean signal with your overdrive signal.

On the left side is the Angry Charlie, which is the Angry Charlie V3, one of JHS Pedals' most popular pedals of the last few years. High-gain JCM 800-type “Brown” sound tone that the designers believe is the most accurate Marshall tone ever put in a stomp box. It has volume, drive and the full bass, mid, treble tone stack like you’d find on the amp. With the full tone stack and the amazingly accurate amp tones in this circuit, you’ll be begging for more!

The Sweet Tea V3 features the company's classic order switching toggle so that you can choose which circuit is first in the chain for the perfect stacking tones you’ve been searching for.

With these tones combined or used separately, the Sweet Tea V3 is a gallon-and-a-half of overdrive that goes down easy on a summer night!

This pedal requires standard 9V DC negative power, consumes less than 100mA.

I use it to replace my tube screamer. Nice edge of breakup tone. And then kick over to other channel for dirt tones. Add both for more gain. But add a third pedal my palladium pedal, for a crazy fuzz tone.

  • Easily the best "rock" distortion I've ever used

I'm a veteran in this field and I have to say I've never been big on crunch pedals because every time I get my hopes up about the description being "super heavy" or something or another. This blew me away. I'm way into 80's rock/metal and this thing will do it all, pushing either side of the pedal you can get lots of versatile sounds but pushing them on together you get an insanely solo ripping sound. I plugged this sucker into a 1959 Marshall Plexi and about blue the roof off of my place... I will be purchasing a JCM series soon and I can only imagine the sound i will get. Incredible, incredible pedal! Seriously, you will not be disappointed.

I use this pedal as a vesitle yet simple live performance crunch/overdriv/distorton pedal. For me this is the style of overdrive i love. It is more Amp esque like. It has such great mid range puch trough my modifed Hot Rod Deville. if you are searching for a paticular overdrive sound and you simply cant pin it down in words until you hear it in person its probably because this pedals style of tone and range of capability isnt often availibe or considerd modern and marketable. Which is why you cant find that sound you like. Its simly hardley availible. well look no further. twist the knobs until you feel and find it. You will feel it for sure. stack the two drives together and look out. Pick the signal chain order of the two simply by switching a toggle. does it evne make a difference. yes it does. Boom you have found your tone.

  • I would buy this pedal over and over again !

I play weely in church and in bars and small clubs almost every weekend .... I got this to satisfy my life performance due to its flexibility......By far the best pedal I have ever owned ...! The version 3 is well worth the money, the blend knob makes the 808 side simply amazing. I leave this side on along with my boss blues driver and it makes it so clear.. then I'll throw on the angry for leads ... I have heard that the angry is hard to tame, yet I find it just right for leads at about noon .... dont hesitate to buy this pedal ! I also own the jhs, panther cub for my main delay, and a boss dd7 for my secondary... the cub blows every delay pedal I've ever tried out of the water .....

This is an incredible pedal. Both the Angry Charlie and Moonshine do exactly what they're advertised to. They play exceedingly well together (stacked), but each one on its own is worth the price of admission. Paired with a JHS Morning Glory, this pedal provides a litany of beautiful tone options. I am borderline-giddy to turn on this pedal each time I play. As a pedalboard space saver, the pedal enclosure is actually smaller than the footprint of two normal JHS pedals placed side-by-side and runs off a single 9V plug. Can't beat the price (cheaper than buying both pedals separately). I can't say a negative thing about this pedal. It's my go-to gain pedal on my board. Thank you, JHS.
