Got one of these when they first came out and I still haven't found a Ride that I like more. Fantastic dark wash, very crash-able, great stick definition and a bell you can hear in the next town. Light players might not like this cymbal at all because you really gotta hit it to get it to open up.. Again, note that the wash is very dark and this isn't a cymbal that will fill the stage with white noise. Rather, it seems to blend in musically with just about anything. Thank you, Zildjian! (If you want to hear it in action, check out the "P*rno for Pyros" album - Stephen Perkins used one on it.)

  • No, I would have bought a different cymbal.

The cymbal arrived well packed, but was really tarnished. It looked as if it sat in stock for a long time. When you pay that much for a cymbal, you'd expect that a brilliant finished cymbal would look cleaner. It sounded a bit dull until I cleaned it, and sounded better, but not as good as I had hoped.

  • Excellent Pingy Ride with KILLER Bell

This cymbal fits my style almost perfectly. It is a cool blend of bright attack with some dark tones behind it. Stick definition is great. It doesn't seem particularly heavy, but is fairly stiff. If you give it the shoulder of your stick, you'll get back some nice trashy qualities. This is an excellent ride, and the bell is great. HOWEVER, if you REALY lay into the bell hard enough, it reaches a limit and will sound almost choked. And you absolutely CANNOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE CRASH THIS SUCKER. So if you want something to wash ride, look elsewhere. It is quite versatile, and has great character.

  • Amazing definition with an unique crash.

I love this ride. It has great definition that is PERFECT for all music styles, jazz, rock, rap, anything. I had an A Sweet Ride before, and it just wasn't enough definition, just like an oversized crash that the only way you could get definition was with tiny ball tips and such. I got the 22" version and I have played the 20". The 20" has a little less definition and more crash like.
