2. Indicate the location of the damage on the cymbal with a piece of tape.

Love this crash cymbal it adds to my 17" A medium thin crash that I have on my kit and also the other cymbals i have like the I RIDE 22' and the 18" I Crash…..they sound good together. Love ZILDJIAN the best cymbals ever.
Very bright, rather high pitched

This cymbal is a duality, in my experience. On the one hand, it has good decay and a shimmering tone, and it is very responsive. On the other hand, its high pitch makes me kinda wish it had a slightly deeper tone and maybe a little more "trashiness". There is no trashiness AT ALL with my 18" Thin Crash. This is a cymbal that someone bought for me, and I had to learn how to play it. Its thin nature makes it good for acoustic accompaniment. Its 18" size gives it the capacity for volume when playing rock. Given its nature, it's not good for using as a ride cymbal like some drummers like to do with their crashes. I wouldn't recommend such use; the Medium Thin Crash is better suited to that, or the Crash Ride. This is a straight crash cymbal. I like the A Zildjian Thin Crash, though my perfect crash would be something halfway between it and the 16" K Zildjian Dark Thin Crash. This is definitely a cymbal you want to try out before you buy it to make sure the sound is what your ear is going for.
Good all around

Use for everything. I enjoy this better than the medium A crash I have.

I am going to compare this cymbal to an A Custom: The A thin is more responsive, and also has a larger bell area. The A thin Has a slightly more abrasive dirty tone to it compared to the A Custom's buttery feel. I love both cymbals for their specific characteristics. I play softer rock, jazz and hip hop grooves.

I have always loved this cymbal! It has been my favorite crash on my drumset for many years. This is a replacement for one I gave to a drummer friend of mine for letting me use her set for a while, until my new Gretsch kit arrived. This 16" thin crash has a quick, bright sound, and a fast decay, which I absolutely love in a crash cymbal.I highly recommend this cymbal as a great addition to any cymbal collection!
