I'd been searching for the "perfect" ride for me. I finally found it with the Zildjian 21" Sweet Ride in the Brilliant finish. It has a defined bell, a distinct ping sound, a nice wash and is crashable. And the brilliant finish matches my A Custom crashes. It works great for the classic rock I'm playing and would do very well on a jazz gig.

  • I would purchase this item again

I played in a pop punk band for 8 years, and this cymbal has been the workhorse of my kit. Out of all my cymbals, this is the one I hit most often. Whether I ride on it or crash it, this cymbal can do anything I need it to. It doesn't matter whether you're a professional or a beginner looking to upgrade, the sweet ride will take care of all your needs. I went from pop punk to post-hardcore and this cymbal transitioned with no problem. Take my advice, make a good decision and buy this cymbal.

  • This really is a great cymbal!

I purchased this without hearing it first, based mostly on the favorable reviews I read about it. I have to say, it sounds better than I was expecting! I crash on it a lot, and for that purpose it sounds clean and it projects well. The bell is bright and has a great tone that really cuts through. I replaced my old Zildjian medium ride with this one, and the difference is night and day. definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new versatile crash/ ride. I really love it!

  • This is sweet. wonderful.

Well I have been through a few ride cymbals such as a 20inch Paiste Signature Full Ride, 20inch Paiste Tewnty Ride, 20inch Zildjian A Custom Ride. I enjoyed every one of those cymbals so much but let me just say that I have recently gotten this 21inch A Series Sweet Ride, mine is in a traditional finish. Anyways, this cymbal SWEEET!!! Its great. It's a great combination of a ride with really good crash ability. This is similar to the A Custom Ride, but this one has more character, it's fuller. It's a bit washy and I like that, good stick definition, and the bell is just right. It looks very durable as well. I am a fan of raw bells but this bell works very well. This ride brings some advantages, if your in a rush or don't want to take all your cymbals then you can just take this sweet beauty and a good crash and some hats and your set! I like to pair this cymbal with my 18inch Sabian AAX-Xplosion Fast Crash and they go great together!

  • perfect for me

Used to play a 22" A Custom Ping Ride, but I switched over to the Sweet Ride so I would have a crashable ride. In my opinion, it's perfect for what I play (rock, punk, pop) and sounds amazing live and through recording. The bell cuts pretty good too and its got a funky sound to it, but I like it. As for riding on this, it's pretty washy, so if you're looking for good ping, I'd look for another cymbal.
