Yamaha ripoff

Comments about Yamaha Survival Kit D2 for YPG235, NPV60, NPV30, and PSRE433:

The cheap junk sustain pedal didn't work out of the box. The store policy was they would only exchange the kit as a whole. Wasted trip into town. I didn't need any of the box software. Wasted money. The next time a company forces me to buy their power adapter extra I will refuse to buy it and find it somewhere else.

      Comments about Yamaha Survival Kit D2 for YPG235, NPV60, NPV30, and PSRE433:

I agree with the other reviewers, the only thing of value is the power cord. The sustain pedal is junk, when you press the pedal it sticks and the only way to get it to come back up is to pick it up and lift the pedal back up. The head phones are junk too.

          Comments about Yamaha Survival Kit D2 for YPG235, NPV60, NPV30, and PSRE433:

This "Survival Kit" is okay but the only real things of value are the power supply and the sustain pedal. The headphones are okay but - if you are into music - you probably already possess a better set of headphones. The rest of the kits are promotional offers some you might not know exists so it may be helpful in that way.
Bottom Line I wish there was an option to "Leave it up to my friend." I think it is okay and you need a power supply but that should have been included with the keyboard anyway.

The only thing you need here is the power supply. Everything else is a waste natural resources. The headphones are terribad and super fragile as well is the foot switch. The foot switch will die on you after a few days and be completely worthless. I'd buy a better quality foot switch. The paper offers are not worth anything of useful value and is only good for starting up your fireplace or use as a temporary drink coaster. Yamaha should be ashamed for trying to force people to spend their hard earned money on literal trash just for a power supply so your keyboard can even function...

Everything but the AC adapter is really poor. The headphones are about the same as what Jetblue used to give out for free when flying with them. The sustain pedal is worthless, don't even think about using it. The two year extended warranty has a lot of conditions on it, I doubt anyone could actually get Yamaha to fix anything under this warranty. My advice is to buy the AC adapter separately for $20.
