Comments about Yamaha SM10V 2-Way Club Series V Monitor:
I purchased these as stage monitors in the process of reconfiguring our p.a.. We had been using a Bose L1 model II for rehearsals and we had become accustomed to its beautiful high resolution for refining and defining our vocal work. I did not want to compromise that sonic picture at all if possible. All signs pointed to 12"s of some kind but I was really hoping to go smaller for travel if only someone was making a 10" that could hold all of our fat sound... These monitors go there and have been a fine replacement for the Bose. More depth in the bass frequencies than I have seen in any other 10" monitors. They are larger and somewhat heavier than other 10"s that you will see. But, also better built and much better sounding than any of the others unless you step way up to high end EV's or QSC's. Really happy about these.
ps I once owned a set of Kustom 10"s: this a is whole other level. Maybe the Kustom's could be used to hold open a door or something. I don't know. I say drop the dough
