Great set, no reservations, quality for the money is top notch. As mentioned by others, please note that what you will receive is not as pictured, it is only the drum shell pack (Bass, Toms, Snare, Tom mounts, ball & pipe clamps). My suggestions to complete the set, cost effectively, but with solid quality: add a Zildjian Planet Z cymbal pack, the Yamaha 600 series 5 piece hardware pack & a Yamaha DS550 Throne. Zildjian included decent sticks in my order, but Id suggest upgrading to Vic Firths. With that you will be all set. If you are not familiar with drums, it will take some time to build out/set this up, but over time youll become proficient in breaking things down when you want to go mobile. Just takes some practice. Be ready to spend an hour or so on initial construction, depending on your familiarity. You will also need a rug/carpeting or something similar underneath, obviously.

Awesome set of drums. The picture of the set is deceiving, even on the box. No cymbals, seat, snare stand, or sticks included. A bummer if you're purchasing as a gift and you discover there are missing necessary accessories.

Change the stock drum heads and you will be in possition of one of the best sounding most versitle drum kits on the market.... This kit never ceases to amaze me.... Everything I throw at it the kit handles with precision. I have used it for every type of music and it sounds great no mater which music I play. It sounds great with Remo pinstripes, playing rock or it sounds great playing jazz with coated heads..... I doesn't mater what music you are into, this drum set can handle it.. The snare is just amazing for what is supposed to be an entry level kit. It cracks with rim shots and provides both low volume response and hard hitting rock and roll. If your looking for the best sounding kit for your money ..... then get the Rydeen kit. .... you will never be sorry you purchased this kit. I changed the bass drum hoops on mine to something stiffer and changed the batter and Reso heads. Im using the DFD reso heads (single ply clear) and Pinstripes (currently) but have played this kit with coated heads as well. I'm a lover of bass drums which sound like bass drums (not a suitcase being hit with a bat). So I changed my batter head no the bass drum to a Remo PS3, which opened up the resonance and sound of the bass drum.
