Overview

Playing guitar in a great sounding room is the most inspiring, engaging playing experience imaginable – far more enjoyable than in a dry-sounding room like a lounge, office or den. With a slightly smaller body size and depth than the LL-TA, Yamaha’s LS TransAcoustic Guitar recreates the incredible experience of playing in a rich, live room without needing any external amplification or effects – just the guitar itself. Whether you’re practicing, writing, recording or just playing for fun, the TransAcoustic Guitar will make you play better, longer and with more creativity. Once you’ve experienced it, you may never want to play another acoustic guitar again.

Actuator
An actuator installed on the inner surface of the guitar back vibrates in response to the vibrations of the strings. The vibrations of the actuator are then conveyed to the body of the guitar, and to the air in and around the guitar body, generating authentic reverb and chorus sounds from inside the body.

Simple Control
Three simple knobs let you adjust the degree of effect applied and the lineout volume level. Additionally, keeping the controls small minimizes the area of the holes in the body material, reducing acoustic sound loss. (A) Chorus Control (B) Reverb Control (Room/Hall) (C) TA Switch/Line Out Volume Control
* Pressing the TA Switch for more than 0.3 seconds activates the TA function
* When a cable is connected to the line-out jack, the lineout volume can be adjusted by rotating the (C) knob
* The reverb type switches from Room to Hall around the 12:00 position

New Scalloped Bracing
The body is an all-solid guitar based on the L-Series. A modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L Series’ characteristic bright tone while enhancing the low end. Treating the tops with Yamaha's exclusive A.R.E. process gives the instrument a rich, vintage quality tone, making it sound as though you'd been playing it for years, from the very first moment you pick it up. The fact that this guitar has been designed with an insistence on sound quality is what allows it to produce effected sounds that feels pure and natural.

High Comfortable Playability
Straighter neck taper and hand-rolled fingerboard edges result in an instrument that can be played for hours without any stress. The 5-ply neck design featured in all TransAcoustic Guitars is constructed of rosewood and mahogany plies with a double-action adjustable rod, creating a strong, stable neck that resists warping.

Newly Designed Battery Box
Battery box integrated into the end-pin jack. This requires fewer holes in the body, thus reducing acoustic sound loss. Connect the cable from the jack to a PA or amp to use as an acoustic electric guitar.

Yamaha is SUPER underrated, top notch guitar, killer price!

Comments about Yamaha LS Transacoustic Jumbo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a serious show Stopper. I bring this places and every guitarist wants to use it. What's all the hype about?

Aside from the excellent build quality just as an acoustic guitar itself, this guitar takes it to the next level by the built in reverb/chorus effects. The fact that the chorus and reverb come straight from the guitar body itself is HUGELY important because you get a lot of that true Guitar character from the woods used that an Amplifier just can't provide. Not to mention, plugged in it still sounds stunning.

There is no bad setting on this guitar. You can enjoy the sound of an awesome room without the need for an awesome room. As far as top notch, ethereal, mind-blowing, music-inspiring guitars go... This is one of the kings in the guitar world. An absolute pleasure to own one.

Beautiful Guitar/Great sound

Comments about Yamaha LS Transacoustic Jumbo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I purchased the natural. Its beautiful. No excess glue on the inside, seams are tight. The wood looks great. This guitar has a small body but produces a well balanced tone with a good bottom end. I went for this all solid wood model because I believe as it ages the tone will get even better. What pushed me over the edge on this baby was the electronics. Its pretty darn cool. I played it for about an hour as soon as I got it. Lots of fun.Only thing I would like to change are the frets. These are tall and narrow unlike my guild D55 which are low and wide.Just a comfort thing. Yamaha did a great job on this.

Comments about Yamaha LS Transacoustic Jumbo Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The Yamaha transacoustic concept is amazing. It will be your go to guitar without a doubt.
The reverb is authentic and great, I prefer the hall reverb and set it low to medium
The chorus is also very good and competes with any of my pedals or mixer effects
This guitar will revive your interest and zest for playing. I never had a guitar that I played as much as this one and I have some pretty killer guitars.
I tried the cheaper FS-TA model on a whim coz I was looking for a kick around beach/camping guitar and what could be better than having reverb and chorus at your fingertips no matter where you are>
But... the FS model sounded horrible without the effects on, the intonation was way off, it wouldn't stay in tune and it was nearly impossible to do a good setup on it.
So I returned it and ordered the more expensive LS model. All I can say is WOW!
I got the sunburst and it looks, feels and plays AMAZING with or without the effects.
Aged spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, and the 5 ply neck is perfect in every way.
The FS model had a 11/16" nut and and the rest of the neck was narrow as well. The string spacing was too close for me. But the LS has 3/4" nut and wider string spacing down the neck. Feels a lot like my Martin PA and I love it.
I tried the dread version of this guitar and it sounded confused even for strumming which I thought would be its strong suit. The concert size sounded better to me in every type of playing
If you are looking for an all-around guitar you won't beat this one
