The stylish mahogany and rosewood rosette is complemented by another black and white rosette giving it even more visual appeal.

Comes with a hard bag.

S.R.T System
Yamaha's proprietary Studio Response Technology (S.R.T.) brings back the natural, ambient sound of an acoustic guitar, and it does it with the signal from the output jack. Using a sound modeling technique that utilizes data obtained through extensive analysis of four acoustic elements that are missing from conventional pickup systems - string and body resonance, ambience, vintage microphone characteristics, and professional micing techniques, S.R.T. delivers the same tone that, until now, was only attainable by professional recording engineers in the world's finest studios is now easily usable by any player, on stage or in the studio.

S.R.T. Functions
The S.R.T system lets you choose from three different high-end mic types as well as two mic positions that let you use techniques similar to those used in a recording studio. The system provides a total of six setting patterns. Click the buttons below the photos to hear the differences between various sound settings. The system also allows mixing of pickup and mic sound elements using the blend knob, and control of body resonance with the resonance knob to create a wide range of rich, natural sounds.

A lot of guitar for the money

Sounds great. Electronics are easy to use. Simple looks. Thinking about Martin Taylor and Gibson you would have to spend 20000.00 plus to get the same guitar, and I feel there harder to play. I might upgrade to the a5 I like this guiater that much the a5 has some upgraded features and it made in the custom shop in Japan.

Bought this for a second guitar at a summer house. Two summers in just haven't been able to dig it. It was $200 less than anywhere else so can't complain but one thing I can complain is the E string buzzes. I've tried lighter gauge strings. Same thing.

Love this guitar! Was a little worried at first thought it might be too tinny but once the strings got broken in it sounds nice and crisp. Stays in tune. Intonation is good out of the box. Can't beat the electronics. Love the look and feel! Might switch out the nut and saddle when it's time to switch out the strings. People have said this guitar punches above its weight and now I see why.

Originally I play flamenco, which requieres a completely different type of guitar. Last year I decided to buy a cheap steel string acoustic just to play around with at home. Eventually I decided I wanted to buy a real nice professional level acoustic to play certain gigs with. After going to various guitar stores and trying guitars ranging from $600 all the way up to $2500 I ran across the A series guitars by Yamaha. Originally purchased the A1M and it sounded so amazing that after a few days I decid d to return it and do the upgrade to the solid rosewood A3R. This guitar is amazing and it plays like no other out there. If you were looking to buy something with this quality made by Martin/Taylor/Gibson, you would have to spend at least $2000-$3000. The preamp and electronics on it are also fantastic, better than anything I had tried before. If you are looking to get a fantastic acoustic with all solid wood construction, great playability, and professional level electronics, this guitar is the one for you!

Got this for home studio recording. Sounds good, very bright especially b string. Almost to bright. Strings a little heavy for me 12-53. Got a set of martin 10-50s yesterday but haven't tried them yet. Action a little high, will take it back and let J R lower it a bit. Beautiful workmanship and appointments. Got a fender acoustic 100 yesterday and can't get much volume out of it without feed back if bass turned up. Up front sound of this guitar so loud you have to turn amp up to hear it. Have a 69 Yamaha fg 300 bought new with a fishman humbucker sound hole pick up and an original 65 fender pro reverb amp bought new. Sounds great through this amp. The A3R sounds to bright on this amp no matter how you set the eq's. Have 3 other amps and to bright for them also. Haven't played it with sound hole plug yet. May eliminate these problems but would recommend playing it through an acoustic amp. So far so good will see how it goes in the future.

This A-Series is the A3R TBS, which does not have the wood-torrefaction
