The XILS X201 Vocoder plug-in was modeled after an ultra rare Vocoder unit, known for an intelligibility that has never been surpassed. It's the missing link between artists like Kraftwerk, Herbie Hancock and Daft Punk. Each of its two Filter Banks offer 20 frequency bands capable of processing the incoming signal (usually voice, but any other signal can be processed) or the CARRIER signal. As a comparison, the Roland VP-330 only had 10 frequency bands, with a very musical sound and much less clarity. On the X201, internal circuitry parameters have been exposed that weren't available on the original unit, making the X201 even more versatile and powerful. Chorus, phaser, delay and an early ‘digital' reverb unit have also been added.
  • Modeled after an ultra-rare (and ultra-expensive) hardware vocoder
  • Analog-like pitch tracker sounds like the real deal
  • Each of its 2 filter banks offers 20 frequency bands
  • Each filter bank can process an incoming signal or an internal carrier signal
  • Multiband frequency-dependent envelope follower engine for shaping a signal’s gain according to its harmonic content
  • Gives you access to loads of parameters that weren’t accessible on the hardware version
  • Every parameter is MIDI controllable
  • Automatic input gain safeguards against overloads
  • Four built-in effects: reverb, delay, chorus and phaser
