Williams Allegro IV Digital Piano | Demo and Overview with Lynette Williams

Description
The Williams Allegro IV In-Home Pack kicks off with a showstopping Allegro IV digital piano loaded with 12 sounds—including a stunning concert grand, two vintage electric pianos, two organs, strings, acoustic and electric bass, vibraphone and choir. The Allegro IV has an 88-key, hammer-weighted and graded keyboard that provides the authentic feel of an actual acoustic grand, making it easy for players to transition from home practice to performing live on a real piano. An enhanced, upgraded speaker system with DSP control ensures you hear every nuance of the music you’re playing, and Bluetooth audio and MIDI connectivity lets you pair mobile devices to jam along with your favorite videos and dig into educational apps (such as the included trial period of Skoove Platinum piano lessons). The In-Home Pack also includes essential accessories so you have everything you need to play, practice and write songs at home. An attractive wooden stand holds your Allegro IV with sophistication and style, a padded and height-adjustable piano bench ensures comfort while you play or study, and a three-pedal controller provides grand piano-style execution of sustain, soft pedal and sostenuto passages. The Allegro IV In-Home Pack is available in black or white to match any décor or mood.

12 Onboard Sounds
The Allegro IV digital piano includes 12 scrupulously crafted voices that cover almost every style of music for your performance, recording and songwriting needs. There’s a gorgeous Italian concert grand, two organs (rock and perc), two vintage electric pianos (tine and reed), two basses (electric and acoustic), vibraphone, string pad, synth pad, choir and a bright acoustic piano. Adventurous players can exercise their inner sound designer by splitting or layering sounds on the keyboard for massive sonic textures, as well as processing basic patches with built-in effects, such as 2-band EQ, reverb, chorus and rotary speaker. In addition, the Allegro IV enriches its incredible sounds with a completely redesigned and upgraded audio system. Speakers are mounted inside resonant cavities within the Allegro IV’s frame that are ported—just like professional studio monitors—to deliver a truly immersive experience with rich lows, articulate mids and shimmering highs.

Bluetooth Audio, MIDI and USB
The Allegro IV effortlessly links to computers, DAWs and tablets via Bluetooth, USB, MIDI, an AUX input and mono/stereo audio outputs. Pair your phone using Bluetooth and play along with songs, YouTube lessons and other educational media through the Allegro IV’s speakers. Make tracks by using your favorite recording software over USB with the Allegro IV’s built-in audio/MIDI interface. Jam with friends and/or dive into group songwriting sessions by plugging into a keyboard amp or PA system. You can even use the free Williams app over Bluetooth to customize sounds and control the piano. The Allegro IV isn’t just for practicing piano at home.

Wooden Stand and Pedals
Your Allegro IV should look as smart as your repertoire, so the wooden stand really sets the scene. Bringing a touch of class to any living room, bedroom, dining room or practice alcove, the stand firmly attaches to the Allegro IV, so if you want to punish the keys like the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis, zip up and down the ivories like Lang Lang or perform whisper-to-roar dynamics like Alicia Keys, you can rest easy that the keyboard will remain strong and secure. Similarly, the three-pedal controller—which adds sustain, sostenuto and soft pedal to your performance technique—fastens to the Allegro IV via steel bars, which look great and feel solid.

Padded, Adjustable Piano Bench
No more grabbing a desk chair or rickety stool when you want to play or practice. The Allegro IV’s padded leatherette bench is comfortable, improves performance posture and can be adjusted to accommodate the heights of children and adults, as well as tall and no-so-tall pianists. The wide bench and steel legs ensure that the only things moving are your fingers flying across the keyboard.

Quite impressive as a first keyboard
I'm a composer and studio owner. This seemed to me to be a perfect keyboard to just fire up and play, to work out parts or turn someone loose on while I was working. I didn't expect it to feel and sound this good. It's quite an upgrade from what I heard of the previous version...and that version sounded pretty good. First, it's got an excellent sound. The internal amp and speakers sound uncannily large for their size. It plays at a credible volume for an acoustic piano, and then some. The EQ is useful. Both acoustic piano sounds, and the two electric piano sounds are completely credible, and I can dial up classic effects on the electrics that work. The organs are less flexible, which I'd expect without a lot more surface controls. But the Leslie emulation tied to the sustain pedal makes them useful and credible, too. And what that makes me realize--since this seems to be as much a family/educational product as anything--is that a kid could start on this keyboard and actually GIG with it. That's huge. The keybed plays a big part in that. It feels really nice, and not at all what I'd expect in a value priced keyboard. I keep coming back to the word credible, because that's just not the expectation at this price point. Bottom line, I've been wrapped up in playing it since it arrived (preordered), and it is FAR more keyboard than I imagined it would be. The bench is nice, and a value add in and of itself--much better than a furniture type bench, because again, a kid could actually GIG on this thing, and a bench like that adds to the gigworthiness. If it were me, I'd trade the vibes and bass for a couple of clavinet or other keyboard sounds...but that's hardly a dealbreaker. That's just me being a bit of a glutton for the cool keyboard sounds and jonesing for more. It bears repeating--the thing I think is just outstanding about this keyboard is how far a kid could get with it. If I were to take this on a gig as a stage piano, I doubt anyone would even blink. At least not after I'd fired it up. That is astounding in an instrument priced this way. And the fact that it feels so good, and is reasonably lightweight with such a good feeling weighted keybed is icing. Five stars for this. I'm actually amazed at the value proposition.

Do not buy this
Seems like it'd be easy to put together. It's not. Steer clear I regret buying this for my 11 year old for christmas as now I have damaged wood cause the screw got stuck and couldn't get it out because I was sent the wrong piece should've checked before putting it in. I checked the other ones and realized the one that was stuck and the 4th one don't have the correct piece

We just replaced our broken Korg digital piano with this new Williams Allegro from Guitar Center. It plays well, works great and has many new features that make it much more useful as a music theory training tool. It also has a very much more rich, full, realistic piano sound.
Useful for private lessons.
