Overview

The Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay pedal offers bold analog and tape delay echo.
Over the years, the Way Huge Aqua-Puss received tremendous praise for its outstanding tone, but because of its scarcity, the cost of finding a used pedal went soaring. Once you hear this reissue, you will know exactly what all the fuss was about.

One twist of the Aqua-Puss pedal's Delay knob takes you from a tight 20ms delay to a cavernous 300ms. The Feedback control regulates delay duration and intensity. But watch out. Extreme settings can send the Aqua-Puss MkII into self-oscillating psycho-freak-out mode. Meanwhile the Blend knob lets you set a balance between dry and delayed signal-from mild to wild. The Aqua-Puss MkII delivers all the spooky mystery of vintage analog delay and tape-based echo, with none of the hassle of creaky, ancient gear. This reissued pedal features delay, feedback and blend knobs, just like the original.

Professional guitarists across the globe have long revered the amazing tone the Aqua-Puss delay puts out. From Oasis' Noel Gallagher to John Mayer, this pedal has been a staple to their unique guitar tones. It delivers a warm, vintage analog delay that is truly sublime and rich. Now it returns to make a glorious appearance in your pedal board, offered at a price that any tone junkie can enjoy.

Features

  • True Bypass
  • Delay Knob: 20ms to 300ms of delay

Beautiful Unmatched Tone

By Joey C

from Bethesda, MD

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is no ordinary delay. The Aqua Puss has such a rich, warm, beautiful sound that it has become part of my basic tone. This is not the delay for soaring, wild solo repeats - I use my Deluxe Memory Man for that. The sound is so lush that you can just leave the pedal on to add a richness that no other delay can match.

Aqua Puss Review

By Dan S.

from Oregon City, OR

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is a very, very good analog true bypass delay pedal for the money. There is a slight amount of clock noise at longer delay settings - nothing that gets in the way of the warm delay sounds you'll hear. I think this one sounds better than my MXR Carbon Copy. Only 300ms of delay time is on tap for the Aqua Puss so keep that in mind.

Slapback heaven

By Rick

from Reno, NV

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Jorge Tripps out did himself on this amazing faithful recreation of his original Aqua Puss. There's something magical about the Aqua Puss that no other analog delay has. This pedal will take your playing to a whole new level and it really cuts through the mix.

aqua puss- a year in ownership

By guy

from brodheadsville pa

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

i was wondering around in a gc the first week these were released. i purchased it as soon as i saw it based on the reviews of the original aqua puss. well its been almost a year now and i still love this pedal. its rugged, true bypass, and the sound is great. very rich and warm and you can make it sound like a plane taking off! the self oscillation on these things are crazy. it sounds so lush at any settings. it has made me sell off some other delays because they sound couldn't hold up at all to the aqua. my only grip is that out of all 12 pedals on my board, this one drains its battery the fastest but its probably because i use it the most, so consider getting an adapter. if your looking for a true bypass analog delay thats on a budget this is for you!!!!

Great Pedal

By Brandon

from CT

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

First of all, I'm a bass player. So a while back before I had the Aqua Puss I wanted a delay that wasn't digital sounding, and one that didn't overkill the amount of delay time. When I tried out the Puss I was very satisfied. It's a very warm delay which I use on bass for volume swelling, songs like "The Grudge" by Tool, and in moderation with other effects like a fuzz or a phase shifter. For me, the Aqua Puss is truly a great pedal which can offer a lot of cool feedback insanity and then you can bring the feedback down for a slow delayed grove...

Awesome Slapback!

By Joseph Bennett-Paris

from Marietta, GA

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Saw it in Guitar World, bought it tried it, and love! Would recommend it. Of course, it was my very first pedal. Yes i was a pedal virgin. What a way to pop the pedal cherry! And buying it through Guitar Center was the best. Easy to order and pick up. The guitar guys at GC are fantastic.

NOT THAT GOOD

By Triode

from rochester MN

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal is not that good sounding. I think it is way overated and is electronic sounding. It also does not have alot of headroom. The Echoplex setting sounds OK but there are better sounding pedals out there for less money. The Electro-Harmonix "Memory Toy" for instance is much better for half the cost.

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

There are so many pedals with the word "analog" in their name, but many of them sound digital. For example, the MXR Carbon Copy, to my ears, sounds digital. The Aqua Puss, however, really does sound like an old analog tape delay.

This pedal sounds good through a high gain amp, but personally, I think this pedal sounds best through the clean and crunch channels of my amps (EVH and Vox). This is probably because the designer of this pedal, Jeorge Tripps, was going for the old school tape delay sound of the 50s, 60s and 70s, and at that time amps did not have the high gain found in the 1980s to present. For rockabilly, blues, soft rock and country styles, I say this is an excellent "go to" delay pedal. It does not have a super long delay time, so this pedal is best used for slapback and echo effects.

It is a large pedal, but if you're unhappy with the sound of your Boss or MXR delay pedal, kick them off your board and make room for the Way Huge Aqua Puss.

    Great Analog Delay

    By Steve

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal has a great one of a kind sound. Short, Bright, Natural, Analog Repeats. Its built like a tank. Its Super Simple to use and quick to get a good sound with. But for the money, other pedals can do a lot more like tap tempo, modulation, digital and analog. Some may try and emulate this, but for short analog repeats and slapback this is the real deal and its the best. It cuts thru the mix and goes well before and after overdrive and distortion and with other pedals. It also looks as good as it sounds. I recommend it. Try it out first if you can, but its sound is definitely worth it.
