Amazing guitar!

Very great guitar, and a nice rich sound. It has everything you need it for, recording, practicing, etc. One downside is that it has no back strap button, but honestly you don't need a strap if your just playing for fun. And for the price it is by far the best guitar... I tried a 1000 dollar Taylor but there was just something about this guitar.

First off let me start by saying this is a beautiful guitar. I recently decided I wanted to learn to play the guitar. Having 2 early 70's vintage Yairi Alvarez guitars at home that were my fathers I don't play them at all. I bought this guitar to learn. I don't have th "ear" for music or tones, but after plinking around with this model, I have noticed that the "G" string sounds flat. By this I mean the string hits the right frequency to be in tune, but it has no sustain and doesn't "ring out" like the others and this worsens as you make your way down the neck to the higher notes. I was told by a guitar tech that it is unrepairable and that is the way this particular guitar is going to play. I have changed strings, brands of strings, composite of strings as well as size to no avail. My advice is to pick the guitar up and really listen to the way the strings sustain individually up and down the fretboard before buying.

Fished this out of the bay for my college aged son who was interested in joining his dad in playing guitar. Didn't want to break the bank but wanted a quality name at a good price. This checked the box. Fit and finish is not as good and I find that it has trouble keeping in tune.

You get what you pay for. The built in tuner is probably the best thing on this guitar. The tonewoods are not good and it does not stay in tune very well. The Washburn Apprentice D5CE that is a step up and only a bit more expensive is much better and has mahogany tonewood.I got that one for my daughter and the difference is night and day. Playability, sound, etc.

First, let me say I know nothing about guitars other than the brand names my guitarist friends bandy about, and I've heard only good things about Washburn guitars. So when it came on sale I couldn't resist even though I don't play guitar. Why not have one if one of my guitar-playing friends wants to play it at one of my social events? One such friend came by and I asked him to gift it a whirl. He loved it and could not believe the price I paid for it. The built-in tuner and Barcus-Berry electronics are an added bonus.

1st purchase and 2nd both came damaged. Kept the 2nd one and had to polish out major laquer damage with car scratch wax. Packing material pattern was etched into the laquer, glue damage on interior label & bridge. I can't play yet, so I can't speak to the playability quality.

Bought for my grandson as a beginner guitar. The color looks beautiful and the construction is good. It comes with an electric tuner. The sound is great after tuning. Would definitely recommend for a beginner.

What strings do I use when they break? I bought this from your Austin store a year or so ago and my low E string broke. Do I need to change all the strings? I hardly touched it as I had moved. Mom n dad actually broke it lol
