American Hickory Fusion Drumsticks Regular Wood

Description
These Vater Fusion drum sticks are formed from hickory—the most popular drum stick material. Hickory is dense and strong, so it is resistant to chipping and breaking. Stronger than maple, it also absorbs a lot of shock. As a result, these sticks lessen wrist and hand fatigue while playing.
Vater guarantees their drum sticks to be straighter, more consistent and of higher quality than all other leading drum stick manufacturers. 100% of Vater’s drum sticks are manufactured in the USA. All Vater drum sticks are tone and weight matched by computer analysis. Available with wood or nylon tips.

Dynamics and speed feel controlled. Light enough to subtle, heavy enough to lay in. Unless your playing hard rock or metal, these sticks will cut the gig. I've been using them for years now. If playing metal, I move up to Vater 3A's

Don't know if there's been a change in the process that goes into making these sticks, but I've been going through them like paper. I don't consider myself too much of a heavy hitter, although I'm certainly not light. I used to be able to use these sticks for months, with only chipping towards the middle of the sticks. Now I get the end of an hour practice session and the whole thing splinters with no prior warning.
