Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Mark III Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Working for an airline I find myself in hotels often, with little to do.

I have been looking to work on my guitar skills (or lack there of) however I am rarely home to do so. So I began looking for a travel guitar.

After checking out several models and types of travel guitars I came across the Traveler brand. My original thought was the Traveler Ultra Light, that is, until I felt and played the Traveler Escape Mark III. The feel, action and playability are SUPERB!!!

Please understand I bought this as a practice guitar to learn on, and to play in small settings (hotels) mostly for myself. This is not a very loud acoustic guitar. However it is perfect for my needs. With that said if you want a travel guitar and would like to share your music with those around you, simply plug in an external speaker to the headphone jack output, or if you want even more use the Guitars output jack combined with an iRig and a simple iPhone, or iPad and you can do virtually anything with this guitar and create virtually any sound you wish.

I spent twice as much as I had planned on and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Still playing it everyday!!!

Thanks TRAVELER

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Mark III Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I had a ultra light traveller. And even though i like it and the wow factor. It eas not a comfortable guitar to play, in a pinch i trade it in for thw Mark iii and it was like all that i could want to better up from the ultra light at once. Very comfortable to play. Nice and fast action. Good sound connected and even disconnected... considering. . Excellent electronics. Way better gig bag with enough room for a small in person amp. Plus i keep the wow factor and the ability to take it anywhere even keep it in my car..... definitely a good buy tto add to your collection..

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Mark III Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I use this mostly when sitting on the couch watching tv to practice scales and chord progressions. When I do some serious practicing, I plug in my headphones and the sound is really impressive. I'm very happy with the quality and feel of the guitar. I was initially concerned that tuning would be an issue, but the in body tuners aren't that challenging and the guitar stays in tune really well. I haven't changed strings yet so I'll have to see how that goes.

I picked this model mainly because I found the string spacing was better for finger style than the other models. Also, the body shape works well when sitting on the couch. I contemplated buying a Traveler for a long time, and while I paid more than I planned to, I very happy I purchased this and have no regrets.

The only "complaint" I might have is that I seem to pick up some random harmonics. I'm not sure how to explain it other than it sounds like certain strings (i.e. #6) are vibrating even though I didn't pluck it. Not a huge issue for my use but may be noticeable if performing.

Thanks for a great guitar Traveler!

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Mark III Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I wanted a compact guitar for travel. I wanted a solid body so I would worry about it less than an acoustic... but I prefer the acoustic sound. I wanted a full scale neck, a leg rest and a shape I could rest my arm on. The Escape Mk III checks all of those boxes. It has excellent sound when plugged in and is quiet enough for a hotel room without an external amp. The built-in headphone amp is nice, and the built in tuner is always handy - so I stay in tune. It comes with a nice gig bag for travel too. It's pleasant to play even when I'm not on the road! Bottom line: I've only been playing guitar for 3 years, but I've decided that this could be my only guitar.
