Awesome travel guitar
By Russ

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Vintage Electric Guitar:
As someone who travels extensively for work, it's always been a hassle to take a full sized guitar on trips. This is a great sounding little guitar, and the full length neck means none of the hassles associated with a shorty style neck. I've been getting in lots of practice on the road. This guitar is worth every penny.

Great guitar for travel
By Curtis

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Vintage Electric Guitar:
Great size, very functional, and sounds great! Awesome ability to plug in an MP3 player and headphones to get your jam on. I normally play Gibsons and PRS...it's a little strange for me to not have a headstock and for the tuning keys to be inside the body...but, you get used to it...and let's be honest, this is for using while you are on the road (or airline) and away from your main guitar(s). If you travel, this is a must-have!

My fourth Traveler...

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Vintage Electric Guitar:
I travel for work and a Traveler has become indispensable for practicing. I started with the Pro Model when they were made in the USA. The rest were made in China but the quality is still good. Next was an EG-2 which had really great tone but the Strat like controls on a small body didn't leave room for anchoring my picking hand so I traded it on an Escape III when it first came out. I love the Escape's playability but have had electronic problems (luckily I got GC's Pro Coverage!) and it has been out for repair twice, this time for over a month so I bought the EG-1 as a back up. This is my first trip with it and I like it a lot. Like the other three I have found it to be very playable right out of the box. The neck angle could use some adjusting and the distortion setting could use some gain control but the simpler (than the Escape) electronics are probably a plus. The fit and finish are great and it plays well through an amp too. All my Travelers have fit easily into the overhead bins on commercial airliners. And fortunately the case is well padded as I've had them dropped from the overhead bin to the floor by other passengers without sustaining any damage!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It plays good and has a decent tone when plugged in!

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Vintage Electric Guitar:
It plays good and has a decent tone when plugged in! Full size neck and frets. Decent build quality, especially for something that came out of China. Was set up really well out of the box, and was even almost in tune with D'Addario XL's on it.
Has it's own built in pre-amp with an aux port and headphone port, with a distortion switch for the pre-amp. And the distortion switch works for the output to an amp also. Not the best distortion tone, but if you're practicing with headphones, it'll work!!!
Nice quality gig bag for it also. Nice and small for travelling, and would be perfect to put on your back on a bike to a jam session or small gig.
Right now, I'd say the only con is it is a pain in the rear to tune, with the tuning pegs in the body, and not much room to grab them. I could see someone with large fingers getting a little frustrated, but hey, they need to hide them somewhere to keep it small for travel.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
