Overview

Guitar making pioneers ESP and Traveler Guitar have formed an unprecedented partnership in order to bring you The Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1, a full 24 ¾-inch scale electric travel guitar based on LTD’s best-selling EC series. With slick, LTD-inspired appointments and Traveler Guitar’s innovative engineering, this guitar is the perfect travel companion for ESP players.

The ESP-designed ALH-200B active humbucker provides powerful drive and articulate tone, while the visual appointments offer tons of vibe. The Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1 has a carved arch-top Mahogany body, locking tuning machines, black anodized hardware, a beveled neck/ heel for easy access to high frets, an adjustable tune-o-matic style bridge, 6-ply binding, a bound neck, and LTD-style fingerboard inlays.

Traveler’s proprietary In-Body Tuning System uses standard tuning machines relocated into the body, eliminating the need for a headstock. As a result, you’ll have the same full-scale playing experience you’re used to on an instrument that’s 24% shorter and 29% percent lighter than a comparable full-sized guitar.

The Traveler Guitar V2 headphone amplifier is built in, allowing you to shred at full volume without waking the neighbors. Cycle through clean, boost, overdrive and distortion tones using the custom tap-pot and listen through headphones or plug into your favorite amp. The guitar is also equipped with an aux-in so you can connect your mobile device and play along with your favorite tracks.

The Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1 is the perfect solution for traveling players looking for a modern, high-gain guitar that’s compact and comfortable. Fits easily in airline overhead compartments in the included Deluxe Gig Bag.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EC-1 Limited Edition Travel Electric Guitar:

I have owned several high end guitars and have been playing for 30 years. I wanted a guitar that was light and compact and this was a new release and have owned it now for about a month. I love it!! I play it so much more than my other guitars because its so convenient, light and plays and sounds great. The pick up has a nice bite to it and through my effects its sounds awesome. The tone control knob has a built in push button switch to activate the different modes clean, boost, overdrive and distortion. I like the boost. The distortion that's built in is so so, but plug it into your regular set up and crank it, it sounds really good and I can get any sound out of it I want from ZZTop (great pick Harmonics) to Metal to sweet cleans. The on board amp allows you to plug in your smart phone and head phones and jam all night long. When I travel I bring a small multi effects and plug into that so I can add reverb and delay and customize my distortion. The feel of this guitar is really good for its size and appearance. It does slip slightly out of tune now and then but I have not had it set up yet and feel that will correct that, if not no big deal it. I have played this with a full band and it sounded great as well. As a side note, its really easy on your back especially after playing a Les Paul for an hour or two. All in all I think its worth every penny and its funny because I'm playing better because I play more having it, nice side benefit !!

Comments about Traveler Guitar EC-1 Limited Edition Travel Electric Guitar:

Like many people with Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) i have a few guitars. I have actually owned 3 of the travel guitars. I owned the Ultralight-Acoustic. Gave that to a friend when I purchased the Mark III electric acoustic. Then I just gave the Mark III to my daughter who is off to Berkley, when I purchased the EC-1. I did a lot of research before getting this guitar. I don't really play acoustic much, and I wanted a guitar that is an electric, same style as the Mark III which I loved, and has the built in amp, and effects. There is also the EG-1 which is similar. Based on my research, for what I wanted the EC-1 was the better choice, It is a collaboration between traveler and LTD (ESP). I actually have an ESP E-II and it is amazing and my daughter owns an LTD, which she also loves. This guitar has changed me guitar playing. I was always off put, because it was a lot of effort to setup one of the electrics to practice, and I usually only have time late at night, and can't disturb the complaining neighbors. This guitar sounds amazing, no matter how I play it. Plugged into an amp, headphones, with aux input from my phone to play along and fix my timing, or with youtube videos. Doesn't matter. This is the best traveler guitar for me, by far. I am absolutely in love with it.

I have the white version, and it is nice and pretty, so people love to see it as well. Great to show off. I recommend this guitar to anyone that is serious about always having an amazing guitar with you wherever you go.

I learned that playing a buzzing or low quality guitar, or a guitar you don't love or care for, affects how you sound. So, go with what you love, and you will love how you sound.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EC-1 Limited Edition Travel Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar for an upcoming trip to Europe and I can't seem to put it down. It is awesome. Great feel and the size is perfect. I upgraded from a smaller Traveler guitar and this one is way more playable. It sounds great and the added headphone jack and internal electronics that allow you to play through headphones and along with songs on my iPhone is invaluable. I will recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking to play anytime and anywhere. It sounds great plugged into an amp, too.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EC-1 Limited Edition Travel Electric Guitar:

I travel all over the world on business and was looking for a guitar I could carry-on to a plane and would still have great playability and sound. I've tried other travel guitars (I own two others) and while they fit in an overhead bin they just done have the playability and sound I want. This LTD EC-1 has been ASTOUNDING -- It plays as well as my high-end guitars and sounds as good as It plays. Its been with me to Europe (2x) and across the US (3x). I won't leave home without It! I like It so much It is now my primary guitar where ever I am! Thanks Traveler!!
