Description
Taylor's 914ce V-Class Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar combines state-of-the-art design with luxurious appointments. Taylor's patented V-Class bracing introduces an entirely new platform for acoustic performance that optimizes volume, sustain and intonation. The ES2 pickup system, featuring three custom-calibrated sensors, works with Taylor's professional-grade preamp to produce exceptional amplified tone.
V-Class Bracing Revolutionizes the Acoustic Experience
Taylor's V-Class bracing marks a breakthrough in acoustic guitar engineering. It boosts volume and sustain while resolving intonation issues that have long plagued acoustic guitars. V-Class bracing creates notes that sound purer, louder and longer. The whole fretboard comes into alignment for a more musical experience whether playing acoustically or plugged in. Guitars with V-Class bracing are easier to tune, with notes that ring clearly up and down the neck.
ES2 Pickup System Captures Nuance and Dynamic Range
The ES2 pickup system features three uniquely positioned sensors that capture the guitar's full tonal range. Because the sensors sit behind the saddle rather than under it, the saddle maintains full contact with the bridge, conveying all the nuance of the guitar's unplugged voice. Together with Taylor's custom preamp, the ES2 system produces exceptional amplified tone that is highly responsive to playing dynamics and technique.
Premium Tonewoods Produce a Full, Complex Voice
Solid Indian rosewood back and sides complement the Sitka spruce top, yielding a tone with rich bass, sparkling highs and a slightly scooped midrange. The rosewood's sweeping tonal range includes deep lows, bell-like highs and complex overtones with extended sustain. The Sitka spruce top has a broad dynamic range with crisp articulation, balancing stiffness and elasticity for a versatile voice that responds well to different playing styles.
Luxurious Appointments and Enhanced Playability
Impeccably rendered appointments include colorful abalone shell and ebony binding with koa purfling. The Radius armrest reduces damping for enhanced comfort and tone. Premium Gotoh tuners provide precise, long-lasting tuning. A deluxe hardshell case provides optimal protection for this finely crafted instrument.

Best Guitar I've Ever Bought!

I absolutely love this guitar! I love the finish, the smooth satin neck, the abalone, the gorgeous neck and fretboard…there's nothing bad to say about this! And the fact that I got it $800 off is amazing! Would highly reccomend because it sounds amazing. The chords are super smoothe.
If I won the lottery I'd still buy this same guitar

This is one of the best sounding guitars I have ever heard. The sound is backed by the playability. For example, I normally barr across BGD strings losing the high E open for an A chord. With this guitar all my fingers fit in the fret not touching the high E. Same goes for 2nd fret ADG strings what ever chord that is. The overall ease of playing in-s amazing. I have been considering on buying a new 814 for a long time. Played many but never felt like this is it. My wife and I were in a guitar store and I was messing around on different guitars, when I played the 914 my wife came over and said that's the one, you're buying that, I don't care what it cost it sounds beautiful. She was right, it was a fit. No two guitars are the same and this is the one that had my name. Strongly support anyone looking for quality and beautiful tone to try the 814/914. The 9 has more bling, not interested in all that but I'll take it.
Pitch Perfect and it "looks" even Better!

Each note is very rich & the tone ripens [versus decay] regardless of play. Also, this "Flagship" acoustic guitar of beauty simply feels-right in my hands like no other box G-Tar has. Taylor has a lot to be proud of, as this is my third one and by far the BEST 6-string instrument in my little home studio.

Actually, an inexperienced elderly man (80) who appreciates nice things. I bought a GS Mini Walnut e on a lark and went looking for one with the arm radius and found a new 914ce at an attractive price. It's a magnificent instrument that is enjoyed by my wife & cat at my daily after dinner serenade. I have the beginner's books & Christmas book, along with downloaded sheet music. Still having trouble hitting that damnedable F# with my pinkey, but failures can't be blamed on this guitar. Am I outclassed? You bet, but it's a joy to experience such a fine instrument. I guess when the estate sale happens, someone is gonna ask, what the heck was he doing with a guitar like that? Easy, it's because I wanted to treat myself, and I could.
I would by this Taylor 914ce guitar again!!!

I love everything about this guitar!! The only thing, I was a little disappointed was,it really did not say in the specifications what years it was made.
