The Taylor 914ce 50th Anniversary Custom is a testament to Taylor's unwavering dedication to crafting exceptional acoustic guitars. This limited-edition grand auditorium acoustic-electric guitar, crafted with exquisite tonewoods and adorned with stunning aesthetic appointments, is a true collector's item and a player's dream.
Urban-Sourced Blackwood and Western Red Cedar for a Harmonious Voice
This 914ce Custom features a unique combination of tonewoods, showcasing Taylor's commitment to environmental sustainability. The back and sides are crafted from beautiful Blackwood sourced from California's urban forest, while the top is made from Western Red Cedar. This pairing of tonewoods produces a warm, balanced tone with exceptional clarity and sustain.
V-Class Bracing for Enhanced Volume, Sustain, and Intonation
Taylor's innovative V-Class bracing pattern enhances the 914ce Custom's sonic performance, providing increased volume, sustain, and intonation accuracy. This revolutionary bracing design allows the top to vibrate more freely, resulting in a richer, more expressive tone.
Exquisite Aesthetic Appointments for a Visually Stunning Instrument
The 914ce Custom is adorned with a host of beautiful aesthetic appointments, including a Cindy inlay suite in mother-of-pearl and paua, Hawaiian Koa binding, and a Honey Cocobolo shaded edgeburst finish. These exquisite details enhance the guitar's visual appeal, making it a true work of art.
Expression System 2 Electronics for Faithful Amplification
Taylor's Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics faithfully capture the 914ce Custom's natural acoustic tone. This revolutionary pickup design features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors, providing exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness.

I'm a strummer and finger picker, have been for 50 years. When I first set my hands on it, my breath was taken away. I've never owned a high end guitar, a Larrivee D40 was my apex. The sinker redwood, and Taylor bracing produce beautiful shimmering chords, and beefy thump. No regrets.
Whoa! This thing blew me away!

I as draw to this guitar because of all the abalone work and it's appearance. I've been shopping for 614's & 714's, the 914 went even on my radar. When I picked this guitar up and strummed it, the sound literally boomer through my chest! I've never heard or seen anything like it. I bought it on the spot. It's definitely a hidden gem.
