Taylor's 300 Series has introduced countless players to the pleasures of the all-solid-wood acoustic experience; it's the entry point to Taylor's USA-made instrument line. Players who step up to a 300 Series instrument, like this 360e-SEB Dreadnought 12-String, will be rewarded with a guitar-for-a-lifetime that will only sound better with age. It doesn't take but a few strums to learn how the mix of tone woods, construction and appointments combine to make Taylor's famous playability, intonation and tone. The 300 Series has everything you need and nothing you don't need in a fantastic sounding and playing instrument. The 360e-SEB's combination of body shape, wood pairing and construction make it quite special, and it ships in a deluxe hardshell case made by Taylor for optimal fit and protection.
The Dreadnought is one of the most traditional acoustic guitar shapes. Taylor's version has been refined to blend its trademark robust low-end tone with a snappy midrange and brilliant treble notes, producing a pleasing balance of power and articulation. If you're a flatpicker or strummer who likes to dig in on lead or rhythm, the Dreadnought should serve you well. On the 360e-SEB, together with the wood pairing of blackwood and mahogany, the broader waist of the Dreadnought body helps bring out the lower midrange frequencies. You get husky low-end power bringing some reinforcement to the part of the 12-string voice that can sometimes be lacking as a result of the extra small strings. You get the crispness and shimmer of a great 12-string, but the whole middle register is a bit thicker.
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Mahogany is a hardwood that produces a natural compression, yielding more "roll-in" effect to a note. The compression evens out a lively attack for a more linear response. Mahogany tops deliver strong fundamentals with clear and direct focus. Tonally, blackwood behaves halfway between rosewood and mahogany, with a little extra shimmer and chime that shows its family resemblance to koa. Pairing blackwood with the mahogany top gives you that roll-in effect associated with a mahogany top - that really smooth attach and balance - but with extra complextity as the note decays. On a 12-string guitar, that extra sparkle accentuates those octave courses and gives you especially thick shimmer.
Taylor's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in Taylor’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is Taylor’s patented behind-the- saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. Because the pickup doesn't sit under the saddle, the bottom of the saddle comes in full contact with the bridge, allowing all the nuance of the guitar's tone to come through clearly whether playing acousticly or plugged-in. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before while playing plugged-in. Together with Taylor’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar. The Taylor Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, and active bass and treble controls.
Taylor's heritage is building great 12-strings. Their ease-of-play, their neck stability, their intonation and their overall tone has made them the most popular 12-strings on the market. Taylor's neck system - with its slim neck profile - allows precise and low action, resulting in the most comfortable "handfeel" possible.

Comments about Taylor 300 Series 360e-SEB Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
A beautiful guitar and plays well. Some smallish tuning issues over-all and more need to retune when using a capo than other 12-strings. The truth is, my old Taylor 150e 12-string sounded and played as well. Mostly, this 360 has a more balanced, midrange tone and looks a lot cooler.
