Overview

Indian rosewood is one of the most popular and musically expressive tonewoods in the world. Among Taylor’s solid-wood guitars, rosewood is normally reserved for the 700, 800 and 900 Series, but the 400 Rosewoods now feature rosewood - with lustruous gloss finishes - in a more accessible price range. The non-cutaway 410e-R Rosewood blends the time-honored Taylor Dreadnought shape with a classic rosewood and spruce tonewood pairing to offer players a quintessential acoustic workhorse guitar, especially for flatpickers and strummers looking for strong tonal output, good low-end growl, and strong, clear trebles.

The 410e-R ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case for optimal fit and protection.

Body Shape
The Dreadnought is one of the most traditional acoustic guitar shapes. Taylor's version has been refined to blend its trademark robust low-end tone with a snappy midrange and brilliant treble notes, producing a pleasing balance of power and articulation. If you're a flatpicker or strummer who likes to dig in on lead or rhythm, the Dreadnought will serve you well.

Tonewood Pairing
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Sitka Spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides complement the Sitka top with sound that's made it one of the most popular tone woods ever. Rosewood produces the strongest bass response among the tone woods commonly used for guitars, with a slightly scooped midrange. Rosewood's sweeping frequency range - deep lows that assert a throaty growl with sparkling highs - rings out with bell-like, high-fidelity clarity. It yields a full-range acoustic voice with complex overtones and extended sustain.

Expression System 2
Taylor's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in Taylor’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before. Together with Taylor’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar. The Taylor Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.

The Taylor Difference
What sets Taylor Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

Comments about Taylor 400 Series 410e-R Rosewood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

After having a few layered wood cheaper guitars over the years I really wanted to upgrade and get a nice solid rosewood body with a spruce top and I really wanted a dreadnought body style as I like to flat pick and rhythm play.
When I finally got the time I spent two years going into Guitar Center and playing a lot of different Taylor's, Martins, and Gibson's.
I didn't like the necks on the Martins and Gibson's as much compared to the Taylor's.
This guitar I just kept coming back to because of the neck and the sound.
If you want to shell out $1000 more for a 710e or $1500 more for an 810e go right ahead as those have a few fancier cosmetics but this guitar sounds every bit just as good as those either unplugged or plugged into an acoustic amp. This model had a slightly narrower neck as well which felt better to me. I will keep this guitar forever. I play it every day!!!

Comments about Taylor 400 Series 410e-R Rosewood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

i'm thrilled with the guitar. It' s resonance, due to the rosewood and the dreadnought style are remarkable. I love the action and playability of the neck, especially for finger-picking. The Taylor 410e-R is the guitar I've sought for a long time.

Comments about Taylor 400 Series 410e-R Rosewood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Dropped off my guitar to get some work done so I went and played some guitars for awhile. I picked this up and I have to admit she is an eye catcher not only that she played just as she looked! I've owned a Taylor before so this isn't new to me but I started really gettin' down and doing some playing. After about an hour this was ordered. Rosewood back and sides with spruce top, REALLY? This has an AWESOME TONE and play's like butter at an affordable price tag. This has all the low, mids and perfect highs to make this one fun Guitar to play and I can't put it down. The above description is wrong, there is no Back & side: Ovangkol ,The nut is 1 11/16. Nice deluxe case too! Wasn't an overwhelming Taylor fan but this made a little bit more of one.
