Description
The TC Electronic Eyemaster distortion pedal unleashes the roaring distortion tone essential for death metal. With its streamlined 2-knob interface, the Eyemaster provides crushing high-gain distortion aimed right at guitarists who want their sound to be loud, brutal and impossible to ignore. The Eyemaster distortion pedal is designed to emulate the quintessential "Swedish buzzsaw" guitar tone, paying homage to seminal Swedish death metal bands like Entombed and Dismember.
Dial In Massive Amounts of Gain
The Eyemaster distortion pedal equips you with a highly responsive 2-knob interface to shape your ideal death metal tone. Crank the Gain knob to unleash devastating amounts of distortion, pushing your amp into a saturated frenzy of harmonics and feedback. Roll back the Gain to tighten up chugs and pinch harmonics while still retaining a menacingly thick distortion. With the Volume knob, cut or boost your output level to ensure your distorted tone punches through the mix.
Obliterate the Mix with Deafening Distortion
The TC Electronic Eyemaster distortion pedal is not designed for subtlety or transparency. This pedal provides one purpose only - to dominate and demolish. Eyemaster's distortion is so extreme and unruly that it refuses to quietly sit in a mix. Engage the pedal and its searing distortion will rip through everything else, forcing all other instruments to yield to its unbridled fury. For guitarists seeking the definitive metal tone, look no further than the TC Electronic Eyemaster.
Channel Legendary Swedish Death Metal Tone
Eyemaster's distortion circuitry pays direct homage to the buzzsaw guitar tones that defined the pioneering Swedish death metal movement in the early '90s. The pedal's distortion profile captures the chainsaw bite and guttural growl that bands like Entombed, Dismember and Grave used to forge their unrelenting sound. Dial in the Eyemaster's savage gain structure and you'll summon that instantly recognizable Sunlight Studio snarl.

I really dig this pedal. It's sturdy and well made. Slightly larger than a standard pedal. I get Metallica ride the lightning tone using a 44 Magnum pedal amp plugged into a home made 2x12 cab with dual Celestion seventy80s. If you're thinking about buying, just do it. It is one of the best distortion pedals I've tried.
Focuses On One Trick And Mostly Hits It

This pedal is fine for situations wherein you either do not need to tweak the EQ or have another method to do so. It hits some of the Boss HM-2 notes but without the diverse parameter adjustments. So it goes. The HM-2 lacked versatility in other controls.
It's A One Trick Pony But For A Long-Discontinued Pedal

I have my old Boss HM-2 that is still hanging on; this pedal carries the spirit of that box with it. For the price and simplicity of use, it's all spades. The lack of a tone knob detracts points. Though the HM-2's distortion control didn't matter for a fair portion of its range, at least the two tone controls properly shaped the limited EQ. Regardless, this pedal is fine for what it tries to accomplish.

I love this OD, especially considering the price. Probably the best bang for the buck I've every got from a pedal.
