Boasting high-quality components, an intuitive interface and portability, the Portacapture X8 lets you capture professional-level audio wherever inspiration strikes.

Premium Components Deliver Pristine Recordings

The Portacapture X8 utilizes 32-bit float point recording and dual AD converters to provide an exceptionally wide dynamic range, resulting in uncompromised audio quality even on low-level recordings. Edit and boost levels during post-production without signal degradation. HDDA mic preamps offer high-definition audio for XLR/TRS inputs. Phantom power is provided via USB-C bus power for all external mics simultaneously.

Flexible, Detachable Microphones for Any Application

Two large-format built-in microphones feature a detachable design, allowing you to arrange them in A-B or true X-Y patterns to suit your needs. Easily mount the Portacapture X8 on cameras, tripods or rigs for livestreaming, video recording or audio/video conferencing using the mics and onboard mixer.

Intuitive Interface and Powerful Functionality

The Launcher icon system provides one-touch access to presets for specific applications, letting you focus on recording rather than adjusting settings. A 3.5" color touch panel offers smooth navigation and control. Record up to eight tracks simultaneously (six inputs and two mix) and stream audio directly via USB with driverless functionality.

Portable and Versatile

Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery or USB bus power, the Portacapture X8 provides complete portability for your mobile recording needs. A variety of included cables and adapters offer connectivity in any situation. An optional Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) lets you control recording remotely using your iOS or Android device and the free Portacapture Control app.

    I use this recorder for (conference,weddings,music etc) the fact this device have 32-bit floating point recording means you can capture the most dynamic sound sources without worrying about clipping from loud sources, or indistinct audio from quiet sources. I Never Lose a Take to Bad
